Duck Pond Redneckery

I was just about to post here and see if you got any damage from this storm since it hit so close.
Nope. I don't even have any tree limbs in the yard.

The hail we got here wasn't even big enough to deter me from running out with no shirt on to move the diesel and the van away from the trees they were parked next to.

15 miles south it's total devastation.

I have a friend in Bradley who is going to need his vinyl siding replaced. And he's got this awning on his garage that was destroyed but luckily his brand new $50,000 minivan was in his garage at the time. His garage is OK, it was just the awning that got destroyed.

What absolutely sickens me, is all the contractors spamming their businesses all over Facebook.

Roofers, tree services, landscapers, auto body shops, etc. There are even ordinary Joes trying to use their pickups and trailers to haul away debris, for hire.

I would gladly do that for free, or charge $5 per 15 miles because that's what diesel costs here at the moment. I don't even know yet what kind of MPGs it gets because I've only burned one tank in it and I wasn't able to completely fill it yesterday because the pump stopped at $100

This was the road ranger off I-57:

There were even people walking around the destroyed areas of Aroma Park, putting political campaign type of signs advertising tree services in people's yards and public easements.

F*n vultures.

I never got a call back from the county emergency management department. But the churches have all stepped up. (Except for the one with no roof) So I'll be at Grace Baptist Church in the morning.

I'm kind of thinking about bringing my ATV, little yard trailer and my generator and simply going around powering people's fridges and sump pumps, like an hour per house or something.

The streets are narrow and the dually is kind of wide, but my 4 wheeler can get around easier.

Also if the 4 wheeler gets a nail in a tire, I can ride it on a flat. But I can't do that if the diesel gets a nail in a front tire.

This is typical. It hit the town beside you, and you saw nothing as far as damage. A tornado typically takes a small path and commits FUBAR in the majority of that path.

Do what you can, that is all that would be expected. As for those trying to profit off of someone else's misfortune, let God sort that out when the time comes.

I saw one guy post that he's buying totaled cars but he's not trying to take advantage of the situation.

First comment was another guy saying "Me too but I am taking advantage. Why lie about it?"

🤬

Not surprising. But to be honest, who knows the intention of either. The one posting that he is not trying to take advantage of the situation, could easily be the one guilty of that. You just never know.

This lady asked the church to tarp her roof. We got there and told her we can't because there's nothing to hold up a tarp.

I said we could move all of her stuff into the part of the house that still had a roof.

Then she freaked out and started screaming. I think she ended up in an ambulance. It was a major psychological breakdown. 😢

This one, we cut up all the trees in the back yard til dark. But this morning when I got there, there was a bunch of Lutherans with heavy equipment. So we left.

We were in a different back yard and this cop showed up, went into that house, the a little while later I noticed the ambulance, then the fire truck.

Aroma Park has one fatality so far, discovered yesterday by a cop going into a house.

So while I was doing this volunteer work, Sarah was spending hours & hours on the phone with my best friend Ron.

Tuesday she ran off with him.

Ron will have no problem with giving Sarah the round-the-clock attention she demands, for a good few weeks probably.

I've seen Ron's previous two girlfriends.

Big fat ugly beastly women with terrible attitudes.

Sarah is 1000x hotter.

But eventually he's gonna realize she's like a velcro dog, and is barely housebroken.

She doesn't cook, doesn't keep up with her laundry, never cleans up after herself. Can barely handle her own finances, forgets what she was supposed to discuss with her doctors, needs someone to go in with her and hold her hand, etc. She's like a child in so many ways.

Ron will realize this slowly...as the succubus pulls him in.

It'll be like a noose tightening around his neck as he begins to realize it.

One day something is going to click in his head and he's finally gonna realize why I've been so forgiving, so cheerful, so willing to explain his new full time job and all the responsibilities he's taking on.. 🤣 🤣

Since realizing that God lifted my life's biggest BURDEN, or the burden removed itself, however you wanna look at it, I'VE NEVER BEEN IN A BETTER MOOD 😂 😂 🤣

Last Tuesday night & all day Wednesday I was a train wreck. Totally devastated.

Then Thursday it was kind of like this:

:yippee-1:

And I've got an AWESOME prank planned for those two when they come here Wednesday evening to get some of her stuff.

Sarah will be in the bedroom by herself, and I'll be out in the shop with Ron because we have to go over the medical stuff and I told him to I can't see her face or I'll have an emotional breakdown 😂 😂

My dad will be downstairs with a playlist on his phone ready to hit play. He'll be bluetoothed to the speaker bar for the TV in the bedroom.

The first song she will hear is:

Meanwhile in the shop, I'll have a different playlist for Ron, starting with:

:rolllaugh3:

If I'm feeling devious, I'll have my dad play this one for Sarah
:rolllaugh:

Or instead, I'll play it in the shop for Ron. 😂

When he realizes what's playing, and he will because he's a huge Beatles fan and will know all the lyrics as soon as he hears it start, I'll tell him "Sarah's listening to it too" and see if I can get video of him running towards the house 😂
