. . . . . Once I make a little more money, I'm gonna buy one of those fridges that plug into the cigarette lighter. Then I'll stock it with bread, lunchmeat, lettuce, mustard, couple other things, Ill buy a case of water, some cookies, and I'll be eating as cheap as possible. Plus, I can put all the shit right there in the front so I can make myself a sammich while I'm dr......parked.....yeah, that's it.![]()
I wouldn't recommend anything that plugs into a cigarette lighter or those accessory outlets, because they draw too many amps and there will be a risk of fire. Also, those 12 volt gizmos they sell in the truck stops are cheap and won't last long, and will not perform well. If you are a company driver, ask your company to outfit your truck with an DC to AC inverter, about 2500 to 3000 watts (the kind that mount permanently and connect directly to the batteries), and a couple of duplex outlets. Then get one of those small dorm room type refrigerator/freezers and mount it securely. You will be miles ahead that way and will also be able to operate a microwave and a TV.
If you are an owner operator, put one in yourself, you will thank me later for the suggestion.
