Skateboards 20

That's one of the reasons I hide behind a lease...

If it were solely up to me I'd be telling every company what's wrong with their business model and walk.

I think I'm gonna go inside, get some junk food, get plastered and watch The Sound of Music maybe. Was that you sent the txt to DuckDouchBag about the TQL Alaska load?

That was me. I was looking for flatbed freight out of Mass. because I dread the customer we have in Newport, VT and don't want to have to hop up there after I finally unload this load...whenever that's going to be... and they have a load from Boston to Anchorage. I thought of you when I saw it was TQL. I ran the mileage and it was 4600 something miles. For TQL it's probably 2800 bucks...LMAO.

Ha ha, no kidding.

This is the message I sent to @Duck about my Alaska trip

It would be interesting to see what their paying. I've done that trip before but not from Boston and it was in the summer. The load was for the Navy bringing 2 cars up on my flatbed for a Navy dentist that was being relocated. The rate I got was very good. I got paid the rate to go up there and then to dead head to Spokane, WA. There is NO freight at all out of there.

The mileage from Boston to AK is 4,579 but TQL is listing the miles as 6,900 so I'm assuming they are paying to dead head out also to Spokane.

The ride is pretty boring. I thought there was black moose dead on the break down lane. I thought maybe some were still alive so I honked my horn and one lifted his head to see what the noise was. Someone told me later they like to nap on the warm tar. The bears are smart. They what until you drive by and then cross the street. Everything expensive up there. Just eat where the truckers are eating.

If your wondering why you don't see a lot of freight going to Alaska is because everything is shipped to the port in Washington State and sent up by barge.

Plenty of places to pull over and sleep at night. I have an exhaust fan in my truck because I smoke. I pulled over for the night and cooked some beef strew I had. After I ate I got into bed and then heard noises outside. I looked out but didn't see anything. Ok, yes, I was scared! In the morning I saw tracks in the snow. It was the summer but it still snows a little. I took a pic of the tracks and showed it to someone later. WOLVES!!! The smell from my fan brought them around.

Sent Landstar a nice email that I was going to pass on the load and that I couldn't agree to all the extra terms. Haven't heard from them. The load is gone anyways, I just booked it through PLS for $100 more.

I flatbed full of turkeys just pulled in. It looks like all the cages are linked together. No chains or straps. I'm assuming it's like a container and has those locking thingies?

I think so.
I see them from time to time and wondered how they stay on.
The loaded one stink to bad to walk up and get a close look. Never see a empty one setting around.

Is canada like South Park makes it out to be? Only one road there And all the people act kind of strange?

Ha ha, no kidding.

Or stuff goes to Seattle and Carlisle takes it up. They have a terminal there. They also have a load out of Forest Park, MN that goes once a month or so.

I think doing that once would be enough for me.

What's your wheelbase? Miine is 275, and isn't that too long?

Carlile!

Magnum and Old Dominion and Carlile share space in Blaine, MN

Here's me p issing Lisa off...

I sent Landstar an email that I wasn't going to take the load because of the terms. Didn't hear back from them so I called PLS and told them I wanted the load. The guy said, what should I tell Debbie? I was like, WHAT? How do you know the woman at Landstar that I just turned down the load from? Then I realize Landstar is double brokering the load. I told him just tell her I don't agree with the terms.

Hours later I get a call from Debbie. She's says, don't worry about the terms, we always put that in there. I say, ok, take them out. She talks to boss and he says no. I tell her I'm surprised there wasn't a fine in there for being a Democrat. She kept trying to get me to sign the rate and I kept saying no unless she deleted all those fines, there was like 20 of them. This goes back and forth like I'm going to change my mind if she demands enough times. So she finally says have a nice trip and that was that.

How do we know that's Lisa from IRT, and what's she mad about? The fact that you made a u turn in front of her?

If she made more U turns she might not have been dong appearances at that casino an hour north of me.

That's an awful thing to say. I should be ashamed.
