Skateboards 20

My Nokia 2112 has "Snake" on it, it would still be in use if Telecom hadn't closed down their CDMA system for a new WPSCDMA or something like that. At the moment it's just an address book sitting in a drawer until I need a number.

Loading up in Newton Falls, OH heading to Fayettville, NC. Fueled up in Hubbard and noticed my spare tire is gone. There was a chain around it and a D-Ring holding it in. I'm assuming someone stole it. They actually did me a favor. I had my real spare put on my trailer because I had a tire so bad the cord was showing and Petro wouldn't take it unless I paid them $20 to get rid of it.

:biglaugh: Poetic justice! I bet they took it thinking they would get $50 for the core. Instead it will cost them $20 if they don't want to carry it out of there and dump it someplace. Awesome!

My hired escort this trip kwpt trying to angle me into stopping at Hubbard because he wanted to go to the cheap flea bag motel and wake up with crotch critters I guess...

I haven't been in Truck World in ages, but I bet Erin's Pub still stinks like unwashed truck drivers since they don't let you smoke in there anymore.

I always park at the Flying J in my favorite spot. I like Denny's also. I'm sitting in Dunn, NC now. I have a load out of here but just woke up and looked at the rate agreement from Landstar. It has about 25 line items that you will be fined for and a whopping 33% reduction in the rate if your late. It also says I will be fined if my truck is not CA CARB compliant which it isn't. Even though the load isn't going to CA I wouldn't put it past them to fine me.

I'm pretty sure I'm not going to take it. I've seen a few of these before and the Agency is always owned by someone from India. There's a ton of freight around here so getting a good paying load is not a problem.

I also just noticed that PLS has the loads too for $100 more.

I think I'm gonna go inside, get some junk food, get plastered and watch The Sound of Music maybe. Was that you sent the txt to DuckDouchBag about the TQL Alaska load?

Spomds like a rate I got a couple weks ago. Going a 175 miles intrastate FL. and this guy wanted to micro manage me after delivery. Told he could've came if he'd wanted to. I use adobe to edit text in some of these rates. Like they'll pay me extra for being late. Wrote on one broker agreement "don't want future business"
and sent it back.
don\'t call.webp

I've learned to keep my mouth shut. Sometimes it pays off in the future to be polite today.
Well here's the way I look at it?? When some borker tells me "we do that all the time" or I see really unfavorable terms in an agreement I'm cautious.
Usually it's on the first trip anway so I figure nothing gained. The one I posted above is a company that shows 44 days to pay, Got a com chek and went my way.
There contract was really a POS and I told them that.
