Huger, SC heading to Shippenville, PA with a load of steel beams. Sitting at Nucor Steel watching Clint Eastwood in Firefox. The special effects are awesome, so real like....NOT!

I fat-fingered 'Laos Vegas'.

In Eastland Texas at the Super8. 80 degrees yesterday and 30 today and freezing rain...WTF?

Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, corn and gravy for breakfast! Oh yea.

Bought a battery load tester yesterday. My APU starts up automatically when the voltage falls below 12.2 volts. A good sign something is wrong when it starts up an hour after I stop for the day. So, 1 battery completely dead and the other 3 registered weak. $500 dollars later and 4 new batteries.

Didnt you just put batteries on that truck like a year or so ago? If so check ALL the cables from the alt. to the starter to the batteries. If any are hard and/or swelling there bad.
And if at all possible make your own, dont buy off the shelf cables, the ends are crimped together. Beings your on the road have them sized and cut to fit and with a cheap torch and rosin core solder to put the ends on, a good high end shrink tubing with sealant and you've got a better battery cable then you can buy made a hell of a lot cheaper.

Yup, replaced them a year ago but already beat this topic to death before in another thread. Thanks for the tips though.

At the lovely Petro in Weatherford Texas and it's cold out. Glad to be out of the hotel room. For some reason the room would not cool off even though the heater/AC unit was completely off. The bed and pillows kind of sucked. Felt so good to be in my own bed last night. Was woken up by a knock on my door. Another driver was concerned something was wrong because he saw no activity and my directional was on.

I can't believe I came to Texas to take a week off in the warm weather....REALLY!!!!

I miss heading down to the border and heading over to Mexico with the Cadillac Man. Those days are gone. Leaving my truck with his guys in that little truck city and having my truck washed, 20 Mexican girls cleaning the inside, new tint on windows, carpets steam cleaned and all for $10.95. Not really but cheap.

I just went over to that driver who woke me to thank him. He was all apologetic and I said, NO NO, you did the right thing. He's a Landstar driver. He was concerned because he saw my curtains up, APU running, daylight, directional on and no movement for hours.

Yup. Showed up day before yesterday. How do you think I just sent you a txt message. It was my phone. Glad I bought the protection plan or I would have had to buy a new phone.
I figured you still had your old phone. But if your old phone was broken or lost or something, how'd you manage to not lose my number? You got a file on me or something? Please don't mention a "little black book"... :rolllaugh:

Everything is always backed up to the cloud, I just have to restore and it's like nothing ever happened. Even all my old txt msgs, emails, pictures.....EVERYTHING

One of these days I'm gonna have to do some reading & find out exactly what is this "cloud" all the smart-phone geeks are always talking about.
