Quack 20

I'll take the bonus points... The answer is "Some rock star". Doesn't matter which rock star, they're all interchangeable after the first tonne or two of cocaine.

Tis Mick Jagger.
Not even close.

I'll give you a hint.

This crazy diamond was a musician, a young one, at the start of what would've been a great career, .. a piper at the gates of dawn, one might say, ....

It has yet to be determined whether or not he can distinguish between a green field and a cold steel rail because he never answered the question.

Manteno, IL tonight, then Manteno, IL tomorrow afternoon when I wake up. Then if I'm not too hung over, Sheldon Iowa to go steal a piece of **** flower-power Kenworth from this place & drive it around for a few weeks.

Unless I get lucky & a piano falls on my head first....
When did you drive a freightliner?

Going back to work? So soon?

She's gonna need help drinking all that Friggin tea.

When did you drive a freightliner
2005, for a few months.
Going back to work? So soon?
Maybe in a week or two. I just remembered a project I've been working on that needs to be finished before I get too distracted & forget where I left off.
She's gonna need help drinking all that Friggin tea.
I gave 4 gallons of it to her parents last night. They were at her daughter's dad's dad's wake. I had to take her there cuz it's 42 miles in the snow & I didn't want her riding with anyone else in those conditions. I brought two 14 foot chains, my cable ratchet thing, 120 feet of recovery straps, my snow pants, boots & gloves in case Stupenditron did something stupid & put us in the ditch but I didn't need any of that because there weren't many Stupenditrons on the road. People up here actually seem to know what they're doing in the snow.

you drove a shaker what an insult well unless it was a classic xl:yahoo:. every time I see a shaker Columbia smart for two comes to mind that thing is ugily and looks like it's a POS and very poorly made

It was a Columbia. Gold mid-roof. 2003 model year I think. It had a Detroit 60 in it. Good motor except I think I remember it having a couple EGR issues. That truck had some balls though. I'd actually prefer to drive that thing over a 2010 or newer ANYTHING.. All of that company's newer trucks are gutless & they're in the shop all the time. On the newer Cummins trucks, for some reason they like to develop exhaust leaks where the flex pipe attaches behind the turbo.

Somebody failed a whiz quiz.

I'm supposed to be waiting for this guy to get to Gary or Lake Station & go kick him out of the truck & take it. Basically like a repo.

He doesn't know he's fired yet. They're not gonna tell him til I'm next to the truck so he doesn't have time & opportunity to trash it. He was in Milwaukee when they got the drug test results back but I couldn't get a ride up to Milwaukee so they said he'd run out of hours around Gary or Lake Station.

My dad's gonna have to drive me up there. I told 'em on the phone "so are you gonna pay my dad a dollar a mile for that round trip?" He said "A dollar a mile seems kinda steep". I said "yeah a dollar a mile is only steep when you're in a position to negotiate". :rolllaugh:

He said "call us back when you get home" (I was in Chicago taking Mrs. Duck to the neuroquack.)

I'm gonna tell 'em to throw in an extra $100 for hazardous duty pay. ;)

Not sure, but he might have a nice lawsuit against the company.

not a smart move at all by the company

Not sure, but he might have a nice lawsuit against the company.
No. He won't. The truck is company property. He will be asked to vacate company property upon termination of employment. The company has a right to do that. The company also has a right to term him without notice to protect their property from vindictive damage.

About the only thing he might be able to squawk about is they allowed him to continue driving after they knew he'd popped positive. I can't say as I blame them for wanting a doper out of their truck ASAP.

My point was that the company informed @Duck about the drug test.
Nah. They just couldn't tell me what he tested positive for. Boss said there was some kind of confidentiality thing there.

I'm in that truck & headed east. Just pulled into an Ohio service plaza to Google the miles to my destination so I know how far I have to run tonight on these icy roads full of morons.

Kinda funny, .. when I went to pull out of the truck stop it took me a couple seconds to realize why the red knob wouldn't stay pushed in. I'd forgotten that the first thing I did when I got to the truck was knock the red glad hand off. I even noticed it on my pre-trip but still forgot to hook it back up. I didn't want to re-connect it until I dug my gloves out of my bag. :bonk:

Truck repo was a piece of cake BTW. Dude already knew. The MRO called & told him, so he was just waiting for the call from the boss. When he got a Qualcomm message to stop at Lake Station, IN "because we might need to work out a load swap" he knew & had already started packing up his ****.

He seemed to be in a good mood & said he was about to quit trucking anyway because his wife needs him at home every day. He says he's totally out of trucking now. He gave me his TV and microwave but I will need a 9/16" wrench or something to get the TV out of the truck. It's on a wall mount. I have no tools with me & silly me, I had to talk him into taking his tools home with him in the other guy's truck. He wanted to give them to me too. Basically everything left in the truck he said I can have or the company can throw it away or FedEx it to him or whatever they want to do with it. I'd have to move some **** to see the side of his inverter but I think it's a 1500 or 2000 watt'er, the yellow ones they sell everywhere these days. I forgot the brand, .. I have a 1000 watt yellow one at home. I'm not a TV watcher in the truck & slip-seating with a TV is a hassle but it'll be perfect for my camper with it's little swiveling wall-mount.

When I get empty in VA they've got a reload planned that takes me halfway back home, .. it's a load that's usually tied together with another one from Ohio to Kansas where that fired guy lives. So if I end up in his part of Kansas I'm gonna call him & see if he's changed his mind about wanting to give away the TV & stuff.

But I didn't make it very far after my last post. I went about 30 miles. Roads got icy & there were wrecks & backups ahead of me & signs that said "consider alt route" so I said **** it. I'm 563 miles from the receiver so **** it, .. good enough for tonight. I haven't driven one of these things at all in months, and haven't driven one in snow/ice in about a year. But I did manage to do a perfect blind-side into my Invent-A-Spot though.

I kind of thought the lab would call the sample donor before the company.
Boss said that was a violation of protocol & he was mad. He said they usually call the company first.

Some Toledo radio station said it's supposed to get down close to zero tonight. I have no idea how these post-2010 urine-drinking slag heaps handle the cold weather & I don't know if he's been doping the fuel with anti-gel so I'm just gonna leave this thing running & guzzle the DEF all night. And I'm too lazy to put my shoes back on so I can look in the side box to see if he even has any anti-gel.

BTW, ... I got them to double their first offer & give my dad $100 for driving the car back from Lake Station.

They offered $50. My dad said only to ask for $50 & that $100 was too much. But I got $100 anyway. :rolllaugh:
