It ends with me. That's depressing. I need a beer.
Don't feel bad, Hoss. Same boat here. (Good thing in my case, bunch o' crazy buggers in my tree.)

Yep. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see a whole lot of fun on the horizon, period. (Politcally, Economically, Socially, etc.)Actually I think it's a good thing. Government ain't gonna make this century very fun anyway.
I cant say for sure how far back the roots of my name goes but like you I have no brothers nor any kids and at 51 having to father a child is out of the question.I just traced my paternal line, straight up from my dad, his dad, his dad, his dad, ....... etc
... to a guy named George who was born in the year 1572 in Austrup Hall, Leeds, Yorkshire, England. The record doesn't go back any further than that. But the last name retains it's same spelling all the way back to him.
I have no kids. I also have no brothers.
And I'm gonna marry a girl who has her tubes tied.
For 441 years the men in my family have had at least one son to pass on the name, but I won't. It ends with me. That's depressing. I need a beer.

You spelled it right. It's an old Indian word, ... probably the Navajo or the Illini or the Sioux or something. I don't know.Yeah I just saw some leveled decks and barns in Kankakee (or however you Yankees spell it) and thought I recalled you mentioning being near there. Glad Ol' Whatshisnamecame through.
My dad's dad's dad (paternal great grandpa) was 45 yrs old when his youngest was born. He ended up living to be 100 though. (two of his kids exceeded 100 too, and another one is only a couple months away & she's still sharp as a nail & on her feet every day keeping herself busy.)Better watch it. My Uncle was 57 when my Cousin Jeffery was born.
The only think Kankakee has in common with the City of New Orleans is a train crash. The first time they sent me to Kankakee, I was saying it like Kancocky. Even though it is pronounced perfectly in the Willie Nelson song City of new Orleans. One of my best deliveries was in Kankakee, Rolls of paper loaded suicide. I got to the customer and they said how long it would take to unload, Pointed out a restaurant and said they had good food they where right! They where also exact on how long it takes to unload.
Good people down there. I hope they are ok after the storm.
