Quack 20

Hope your old man gets out soon.
I hate hospitals and Lord knows they hate seeing me. I'm never the patient, just the bodyguard.
I've learned to keep my cool but their fingers are always close to the panic button when I stand up, lol.

My current creativity challenge is how to put oar locks on a fiberglass row-boat without drilling or clamping anything to the boat. :confused-96:

My dad wants me to do that. :coocoo:

I told him to go to the hardware store & get a sheet of 3/4" pressure treated plywood & four 1x6 cedar planks 8 feet long."

He got kinda bright-eyed & said "you have an idea?" I said "no, ... but to get a full size sheet of plywood you'd have to take the F-100 because it won't fit in the S-10, and by the time you get that thing started you'll have forgotten all about the stupid oar locks".

Might be pulling hoppers for the harvest, but only if some guy's doctor won't release him. I forgot what his medical condition was. $20/hr to go field-hoppin' in a big truck doesn't sound too bad.
thought you were off till dec :confused-96::D and no 20 dollars dont sound to bad at all;)

there probily in better condition to :D
They might run better if they're pre-emissions, but the rest of the trucks are unlikely to be in better condition. The problem with Van Wyk's trucks is just the simple fact they're all newer than 2010. Any company with newer equipment is going to have the same problems.

agree

Ok, I'm confused. How can you have a row boat without oar locks?
:dunno:

It might not be what you'd normally call a "row boat". It's a 12 footer, fiberglass, "V" shaped hull, has a transom for a small outboard up to probably 10-15 horse, about 4 feet wide, heavy enough it requires 2 guys to carry it (or one young'un in his prime who feels the need to show off), seats molded into the structure, not captain's chairs. No provisions for oar locks or navigation lights. For the past 10 years it's done nothing but sit upside-down on a couple of 4x4's on a concrete slab behind the barn. There's a trailer for it but it's totally sealed up in a poison-ivy sarcophagus..

Gonna hammer down to Columbia, TN. My grandma had a stroke, or something similar & I've just been informed that I have to pick my sister up from the airport in Nashville sometime tomorrow AM.

Mrs. Geezer won't let us take her van, and if Mrs. Duck wants to go, we can't take the Geezer's S-10 so I guess that means I need to get my lazy ass outside & plug the nail hole in my Buick's tire.
