Barney was supposedly hot for the waitress at the diner. Never saw her or the diner for that matter.

Of course we all know about Gomer. Maybe he found happiness in the Marine Corps. And his cousin Goober?

Old Floyd the barber hung out exclusively with men and by the time they brought in Howard Sprague they weren't even trying to hide it anymore.
Living with his mom at 40 was bad enough, then throw in the sweater vests it's a lock.

Now the new Warren was a mystery. The old viewers didn't like anybody taking Barney's place. But as goofy as he was, I think Warren might have had something going on over in Mount Pilot.

Although I was too young to notice when the show first aired, it now makes me feel uneasy to watch.
Something a little creepy about all those men living together. Too many unaddressed issues at play.

Like what happened to Mrs. Cartwright? I know the story they stick to is that she was killed in an Indian attack, but I have my doubts
I suspect she may be buried out in the back forty; her bones anyway, after Hoss barbequed her on an open pit.

Now Little Joe seemed like a ladies' man, but every time he scored a chick, there would be some flaw revealed by the end of the episode.
Or she would get killed by Indians. I suspect Pa just simply wouldn't allow women in the house overnight.

And what about Hop Singh? Where was his family? The story is they got killed by Indians working on the railroad.
So how did he escape?

Why couldn't the Cartwrights get a female housekeeper instead of old Hop Singh anyway? And isn't Singh a Pakistani name?
I think they should have checked Hop's paperwork out a little closer.

I remember Gunsmoke from that era also. Remember how they never discussed the fact that Miss Kitty was a prostitute?
How come she was always drinking at the bar with grouchy old Doc and not servicing her customers?

Some other time I will digress on the gayness of the town of Mayberry.

The one time telephone operator from Buffalo NY listed her job title as "saloon keeper". Not certain if she was the actual owner, but she may have well been.

I'm still suspicious of her heavy makeup and manner of dress. I often wondered why Matt didn't take up with her. After all, they seemed to get along well enough.
Perhaps he knew what we didn't and feared veneral disease. Medicine wasn't so advanced yet and they had a habit of amputating infected limbs.

from what i thought i heard, Ben Cartwright was married more than once, which was the reason why none of the boys had any resemblance to one another. but who really knows...not even the Shadow knows.....

But, "Wikipedia" knows all...!!!

Same here,over and over and over and u just never listen because you're right and im wrong.You know everything.Then you assume too much.Always come up with your own stories of what happened as to why all the advice you give me goes in one ear and out the other.Last person i want advice from is a mr know it all.

you always take things either the wrong way, or you just do not understand what is being said, as way too many times, you accuse people of saying things they never did, and right here in this very thread, you accused another of telling you his lawyer would get involved or something like that, then you thought i said you got a lawyer from a truck stop...again, YOU DO NOT READ EVERYTHING PROPERLY, and YOU ASSUME of things being said, which NEVER WERE...this is a long standing situation (or actually a problem) with YOU....

i think it all goes to, SLOW DOWN, AND READ properly...(even a "duck" made reference that you probably read too fast what was said) and DO NOT ASSUME any of us are saying things we ARE NOT SAYING...

if i am on her "ignore list", goes to prove, she could not take the truth....it HAS BEEN a long standing problem of some people here NOT TO READ and UNDERSTAND what is being said, and to have to say it all over again....

it IS pointless to put someone on "ignore" and you are right, you always DO CHECK what they did say...she said it's to avoid arguing..?? who was arguing..i told her some FACTS about herself, and she chose to ignore THOSE....and blame me for her foibles..

i mean, she even thinks the "stang guy" was picking on her, so we can plainly see who has the problems....

and well, Russian toilet paper..?? i hear that got flowers and sunshine on them now...not just dark gray..!!!
and a tinier grit, i think up to 200 now..>!!!!

Ah, the plot thickens. Not one, but three dead wives. What are the odds that three women die during childbirth from the same man? Medical care couldn't have been that bad back then. Did Pa Cartwright have evil devil sperm? Who knows what evil lurked at the Ponderosa.

i do not know...but what i DO know is, i have to this very day..

never stepped foot in a Ponderosa..!!
