Patriciajnsn vs. Jason, Glenn, Mustang, et all...

Barney was supposedly hot for the waitress at the diner. Never saw her or the diner for that matter.

Of course we all know about Gomer. Maybe he found happiness in the Marine Corps. And his cousin Goober?

Old Floyd the barber hung out exclusively with men and by the time they brought in Howard Sprague they weren't even trying to hide it anymore.
Living with his mom at 40 was bad enough, then throw in the sweater vests it's a lock.

Now the new Warren was a mystery. The old viewers didn't like anybody taking Barney's place. But as goofy as he was, I think Warren might have had something going on over in Mount Pilot.

...a bit of a homophobe are we? Actually Barney had a couple different girl friends who made several appearances on the show. I know Howard at last had a couple dates and some dancer he was after. Gomer and aunt Bea even had a date or two. Even Floyd had a pen-pal relationship with a goldbricker.

Patti; Even though I support what your doing, don't go spending that money till its in the bank. Lawyers who work off percentage have a way of leaving you with virtually nothing by the time its over. Also, my suspicion is that he will go for a settlement. Wrongful termination is hard to prove in a right-to-work state unless you have a specific evidence that says you were terminated for not breaking the law (like a piece of paper that says: " you are being terminated for not breaking the law"). Keep in mind that he doesn't have to give a reason for termination and would be stupid to do so (he also can't give any reason to any of your future prospective employers). Your assertion that his trucks are junk probably won't wash either since you just passed a random inspection a couple months ago.

On the plus side at least you will make him mad and waste allot of his time and money with attorney fees. On the flip side: he might be able to come after you for frivolous law suite.

By the way, I didn't read this whole thread. Didn't figure I needed to. Judging by BullMikes posts on this page, it's wandered and ain't far from being closed. I hope I helped it stay on topic.

The thread was thwarted to cover up the fact that Patti had been whining all over the board (for. Month) about the injustices of her company terminating her.
Mike came to her rescue and gave his "two cents" as his attempt to moderate.
It worked. No one, until now, has cared to try and post in this thread or confront her anywhere else on the board.
The good side to this is that she has, for the most part, stopped whining and throwing misc comments in other threads.

I'm not after money,it goes much deeper then that.

she will not get any where's as big a settlement as she thinks she will..most lawyers/firms take one third of the award/settlement. then she isn't working at least not as one of her last posts. what she did was not think it all through. she got fired from her job, BY HER OWN ADMISSION, for telling customers NOT to load up her trailer due to it being a wreck of a trailer. her boss left her NO option but to fire her arse, which is something i too would have done.

now about what "Jason" can or cannot say about her..true, labor laws "prohibit" anything more than the dates/times a person worked for an employer...however, this does not stop someone from "speaking candidly, off the record", and do you or anyone else wanna be that will NOT happen..???

she, (Patty) will HAVE TO PROVE, that disparaging remarks are made about her.

Jason doesn't need a pile of money to fight anything. when the unemployment office calls and asks jason why he fired her, he can tell them, and he can deny the claim, by fighting it all the way, with the help of the state, not any lawyer.

now, how do i know this..?? simple, a trucking company i was going to work for, the owner himself told me he has (still) a problem driver trying to collect unemployment. either he (the owner) or his wife (a co-owner) show up every stinking time they get called into the state unemployment office to fight the claim..end result..?? his former driver, has been out of work, because he was fired, and he still hadn't collected one red cent of unemployment.. now all this was going on as of last November when i had applied for the job with his company.

she (Patty) caused her own demise, now she is looking for a company that will take pets, and she cannot find one. she once said she was being lazy and NOT looking for work as it was near Christmas time.?? i told her, BS, get out there and look now, as each and every day, let alone a week, that goes by, makes it harder to find a job especially when one is fired, as she was. again, i reiterate, she TOLD customers NOT to load the trailer, this COST Jason time and money and ill bet you customers as well.

what would ANY employer do when faced with such an employee..??? kiss them on the butt and say everything is going to be ok, or fire them..??

i go with firing ON THE SPOT.....

Sure glad there's an ignore button.

you see folks...??

not only am I ON her ignore button, now someone else....??

goes to show you (all) that she cannot take the truth and ONLY WANTS TO HEAR, what she wants to hear..

well too stinking bad (i know she cannot read my posting), but Patty, the truth is what it is, and you're toasted.....

you had better face facts girl, you were WRONG in telling a CUSTOMER not to load your trailer, and Jason WAS RIGHT in firing your arse....

whataya gonna do now, ignore the entire membership here..??

gonna get lonely for you pretty darned soon....

You know I only had you on ignore for a very short time, because I did'nt think what you said was really all that bad.I took you off the next day but with disrespect post like this and the the post before this deserves the ignore button so im not tempted to read it.Iggy you go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If she had reason to believe the trailer was unsafe to haul freight with, she not only has the option, but is REQUIRED to refuse to haul freight with it. If she thought it was unsafe equipment, she's banned by law from pulling it on public streets. So she can refuse to PULL it.

But as for telling the shipper not to LOAD the trailer, .. she can probably do that too if she believes it's not even safe for a forklift to be inside it, like if she has reason to believe the floor might collapse with a forklift operator inside it. I've seen pictures where that has happened.

Thank you rubber duck. You know I have been ignoring this thread but some ppl just have to reopen it with very disrepctful words towards a member.Telling shipper not to load a trl has absolutely ZERO to do with this case.Thats happened here any there long before I got fired.Everybody at that company and a shop guy has done the same thing.Yes I have told shippers not to load me for the reason you said rubber duck, trl was unsafe inside and out not to mention the only time ive mentioned it is when hauling food products.I also said it jokingly every time. Some ppl come on her and sure quick to condemn me and have ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE what they're talking about. They're just looking for a fight.

bu that would have been an argument/discussion to have with her boss, not any customer. she took matters into her own hands, which cost her. yes, i too have actually had broken floor boards in a trailer, and i hadn't seen them, but the fork lift guy sure did, so he didn't load that trailer. her boss could have easily had her stop at a trailer repair shop for a quick repair, God only kows the on the road repairs i have had to get done over the years.

Glenn, I think what she said was that she told that Jason guy about the trailer being a piece of **** that needed repairs, and he refused. So she told the shipper it wasn't safe to haul freight with. I'm not going to go back and read through all those pages and pages full of spelling and grammatical errors to verify but I'm pretty sure that's what was said.

Just defending myself is all. ppl don't need to reopen it in hopes I lash out because they know I will.

oh pah-leez tell us where this new found disrespect is in my postings my dear..???

i'd like for you to point them out, each and every one of 'em...

i am making statements, some based on facts that YOU posted here, i made up nothing.

it's EXACTLY LIKE the other member said, "misinterpretation", and it's ALL on your part, not mine, or anyone elses...

oh..i forgot, i'm being "ignored again"....you ain't gonna be reading this either.

as i said, you only want to hear what you want to hear, and you're still out of work.

i will say this to the others, i had PM'd Patty with advice, suggestions, of what i had told my students, and what the other instructors have told "some students", and how they made out with such advice and suggestions. Patty told me not to "compare her" to my students.

there was "no comparison" what so ever, just "what others did" to secure a job, and what to look out for in any "backlash" from her employer.

she could have taken the advice/suggestions, but rather "took it the wrong way" (the Patty way) of MISINTERPRETING what others say...

in closing, no one is trying to get anyone to start a flame war or lash out....people are trying to open up a "dialogue", but some choose to "ignore" ANY type of such.

maybe she did, but i too am not going back to read all these insipid posts. she still had other options, like perhaps pulling into a scale house? at least there, the "excuse" to say the DOT pulled her in would have gotten her off any hook with the boss.

what ever, but tell you what, never have i ever seen or heard of a driver doing what she did, get fired for it, all because she didn't look for other options, and is looking to sue now. she had options. i'll always think she did.
