Looking at Toyota Tundra...

Someone read that for me.

I have a terrible sci fi show to watch so I can oversleep past 330 like usual.
Cliff's Notes:

Buy the Ford.

Well I finally went and picked up a Tundra.

Its strange though. It's really blue and has these blue ovals that say FORD on them.

I dont know what that means, but it rides pretty nice. It's very quiet and I was really surprised at the balls in the Turbo 3.5 V6.

I might have gassed on it during the test drive and been surprised as hell that at 20 mph, when i goosed it, it chirped the wheels. I can't imagine what the H.O. 3.5 theyre putting in the Raptor is like...

I wouldn't do that now though, since I bought it and all.

Weird looking Tundra...

We have had one for a little over a year now and really like it so far.

Looks nice!

I got rims and tires on the Tundra this week.

We will see in the morning how bad they kill fuel mileage.

The truck sits a good inch or so higher than before so I'm glad I didn't opt for a 1" lift also. The rims, tires, and leveling kit is plenty to make my antenna drag and not just go THWACK when I come into my garage.

The rims are FUEL ANZA. Black with Anthracite outer ring.

The tires are some Chinese brand called KENDA. I figure if they suck then BF Goodrich A/T will go on before next winter. But they got pretty decent reviews.

And you can tell the genuine reviews vs the fake ones when it comes to pickup truck stuff. Because even autocorrect hasn't helped redneck spelling that much.

It's like they insist on it.

Funny thing. When I picked up the truck at the customs place today, casually laying on the seat was a ROUGH COUNTRY catalog.

Which is so odd because I told myself the only other customization I want is one of those bar type LED lights that go under the tailgate and act as additional tail/stop/turn lights.

But I was also thinking of maybe a bull bumper in the front. They make them with LED bars in them now. For maximum annoyance.

Yet the same company putting a diesel in a Dodge wasn't bad. Weird.
It was just too heavy for the half ton chassis and offered no benefit. It actually took away payload compared to the gasser. And the displacement wasn't adequate enough to make up for...anything.

You should watch the TFL Truck Ike Gauntlet comparo between it and the identical gasser if you haven't already. IMHO the Cummins was a joke.

The problem with the RAM is that the 6.7 is a great powerplant wasted on a POS wrapper. 🙄

Inline 6 is always better than a V-8 :cool-61:

Read a review on one of those once. The truck the reviewer was drivin had the EGR cooler start dumping coolant in the intake. Ill bet that persuaded a few people look elsewhere
