Life in Sector 7 G.

You bet! I just saw a can hauler crush a Toyota Rav4 on my way home.
Both were "Brampton men" so hard to say who was at fault. Truck was making a left and the Rav4 was making a right and they ran into a physics problem; two objects cannot occupy the same space at the same time.
Did the RAV4 Brampton get Valhalla'ed? 😳

That would have never have happened in a RH drive vehicle. Those drivers would be forced to use one of these utterly ridiculous round abouts.

They are totally stupid here in the States, but work well where you drive on the opposing side of the road and vehicle. The only good thing about a round about is, I like to challenge myself to getting through it without ever touching the curbing. If that is physically impossible to do, it was great fun to drag the trailer over all of the pretty flowers and plants that the put in the middle of them.

At least it was fun to do if the driver before you didn't just continue straight and mow the whole damned thing down. They don't make properly sized round abouts here. They make them just big enough for a car to navigate through them.

I agree! When they started installing roundabouts here, I thought it was stupid!
This isn't Europe. Roundabouts are probably the reason why we left Europe.

When I got my license, we didn't have roundabouts, so I had no idea how they worked. After they installed them, My Father had the new driver's handbook, so I looked up how they are supposed to work.
It says in the book that there is what they call an apron that can be used for the off tracking of trailer tires.

When I was a teenager I rode my dirt bike about 3 miles with no shirt on, when it was 15 degrees.

I don't remember if it was on a double or a triple dog dare though. 😅

But when I got home all I did was put my coat on and I was fine.

If I did that today I'd probably die of pneumonia or something 😬

My fingers got numb putting zip ties on my first container today. It sucked.

Now I know how those Uruguayan soccer players who's airplane crashed in the Andes felt. I too almost resorted to cannibalism.

We were out putting another coat of water on the rink with no gloves last night 😂

It was colder in that pic @Duck posted than it is here.
Got any pics of that backyard rink?
We used to play on a pond and it sucked because puck would end up in the snow when you took a shot on goal. It was still fun though to play on ice rather than street hockey.

I used to do a pick-up at a plumbing supply place. The people there always had a good sense of humor; they also had zero winter maintenance. The place was a complete sheet of ice one day. The workers took action and posted a handwritten sign on the door. It read...
Public skating only no Shinney!

(Shinney is like a pick-up game of hockey. Anyone can join. Teams are typically picked by everyone throwing their sticks in a pile and "Captains" will pick sticks and throw them to their team's side of the ice, so it is kind of random and fair. Rules are loosely enforced i.e., offsides are not really a thing)
It's fun.

It's not a backyard rink. It's something the community built for the kids across from the school a few years ago. There's a building there. One side of it has a warm room for changing and what not. The other side is just shed space for the snow blower and everything else for upkeep.

A handful of us have a key to the shed side and volunteer to take care of the rink. I went over tonight blew off the dusting of snow they had scraped to the boards today, and came back a while later with my oldest after the kids were all gone to flood it again.

You'd have thought this year was nearly hopeless if you'd seen it after we got four feet of snow maybe more the second half of December one storm after another after another then got it all rained on.Had a skid steer a small tractor a loader and a pickup with a plow all in there. There's another community not far away my missus is on their Facebook group and apparently they're still not even cleared and putting out pleas for their people to come help. Basically everyone bitching it's not open but nobody's doing anything about it.

Today I got myself a Jump starter, a toolbox that I have been deciding on for like 4 years now and a screwdriver set that I have had my eyes on for a few years.

Jump starter is still charging, how long do these things take to charge?...
