Life in Sector 7 G.

I have one in each vehicle. They seem to take hours to charge from about the halfway point. I have one that puts out 1000 amps and the other two are at 3000 amps. They charge in the vehicles via USB ports and are always plugged in. The vehicle will keep them charged up and when it is shut down, the system will only keep the juice on for about 10 minutes. But, they always stay fully charged that way.

What is "Canadian Tire"?

I just saw a video with some woman talking about some creepy guy following her around in the store, down aisles and stuff..

I'm guessing it's not just a tire shop? More of a retail store?

Picture a Menards.........

Now take away the groceries and building materials then make it somewhere between a tenth and a quarter of the size (depending what town you're in) and you're just about in the neighborhood. They sell a little bit of pretty much everything else.

OK. We've got Canadian Tire here too, except they call it Ace Hardware and everything is 30-400% more expensive. 🤓

It's the go to place for auto parts, tools and hardware. But they also have a sports dept, hunting and fishing. And for some reason small kitchen appliances and stuff like that to keep the woman occupied.

That's a good idea! The what used to be called the cigarette lighter in my car only has power when the car is running so, I could plug it in there and keep it topped up.

I got that 3000A one for when I was having pickup truck problems. I used it to boost the sleeper twice. I tossed it in the sleeper on the charger in the bunk then put it in a cabinet.

It worked so well I'm thinking about getting another one.

We got like two feet of snow today. I am going to try to go to work.

I don't see how staying home would resolve anything other than not putting my safety at risk during my commute.

We got about 6 inches. I'm gonna see what it looks like in the daylight. I still need to shovel myself out because the snowblower needs a carburetor.

If I was a smart man I'd have checked it in the late fall and had plenty of time to fix it. But I didn't. It's not very old so I didn't think much of it.

They make them up to 5000 amps too for under $100 on Scamazon.

The damned ethanol laced fuel ruined the carburetor. Sta-Bil or not, that shit ruins everything that it touches. Now they want to increase its blend to up to 20%. Corn is for food and livestock, not motor fuel.

I don't think that's it this time. I'm 99% sure I used non-ethanol in it because of that.

Amps, or watts?

I asked AI how many amps an average car starter draws, and it said 400-600.

At 14 volts, that maths out to 7000 watts.
Amps is what they advertise. It makes sense because my 4 truck batteries are about 3200amps together give or take and the 3000amp booster turned it over almost instantly. It was way overkill for the pickup since those batteries are something like 1400amps combined.

The semi was showing around 10.5 volts when I first turned the key on without the booster, for what that's worth. I don't know how that relates to amps though.

Here's the specs on my F250 starter

In a lead acid battery, a reading of 11.5 volts is considered dead pretty much. 10.5 is very dead.

So if you immediately started your truck with 4 batteries at 10.5 volts, that booster is badass.

And if it's a handheld rechargeable device, it's damn impressive. I want one now.
