Help identifying mystery switch

Thoughts? It’s in a buddy of mine’s truck and doesn’t know what it does. Apparently there’s a front one too with the same symbol. Truck is a 2008 Pete 384 I believe.

That was my first thought as well but he said he’s already got the typical switch up on the far right side where the fifth wheel slider switch and the power divider switch is that’s marked air suspension….

But I just thought of something… yes, I’ve been a rock hauler going on almost 8 1/2 years and even though I’ve yet to ever pull one because the boss has never owned any, considering he says there’s a front and rear switch, is it possible those two switches are for a bellydump trailer that has a front and a rear set of dump gates? My boss has had this truck for probably going on five years now but I have no idea who he bought the truck from and what they used the truck for.

Well I think I figured it out… LOL. I decided to Google Peterbilt bellydump switch and the link below is what came up… well actually, it was a eBay listing but after searching the part number, that link below is what came up.

But yeah, instead of it being for a bellydump trailer that has two dumps on it… which, I guess it would work for that too but it’s probably more than likely intended for pulling two short little pup bellydump trailers.

The 2018 389 I drive has those, along with others for the full lockers and suspension dump. I asked around but nobody knew what they were for either.

Under the cab, there is a second 7 pin male connector. Like the main connector, the center pin is always hot and is of a heavier gage wire. Get a test light or meter, throw the switches in question and see which leg of the connector lights up. By the picture on the switch it appears to be for a pusher or tag axle. But they are usually manually pressure operated according to the load and the settings by the driver.

It may also be used for trailer back up lighting, or alarms or in the case of a tanker operation, power to the overfill protection device.
