Under the cab, there is a second 7 pin male connector. Like the main connector, the center pin is always hot and is of a heavier gage wire. Get a test light or meter, throw the switches in question and see which leg of the connector lights up. By the picture on the switch it appears to be for a pusher or tag axle. But they are usually manually pressure operated according to the load and the settings by the driver.
It may also be used for trailer back up lighting, or alarms or in the case of a tanker operation, power to the overfill protection device.
