EC's Going For It

The same thing as the quote he replied to, but translated into French for some reason.

I don't know why they do shit like that. I had one do that between my truck and another truck. I see you had a hotshot beside you so that was crazy.

If something were to happen it would take time out of my day. No, I am going to feel bad about a guy that deletes himself like that.

I may or may not be a psychopath because I'd be more annoyed with my ELD disruption than Captain Crotch being splattered everywhere.

I felt worse for the bunny that I killed with my zero turn because mama laid a nest I didnt know existed, and he decided to hop out. The babies that stayed in the nest survived.

That's commie talk :gun3:

Nothing wrong with that. I've always felt the same about stupid 4 wheeler tricks too.

One of my boxes didn't show up so my day was shorter. But that's okay because it gave me a chance to drop the old Verizon gateway off at the UPS Store while bobtailing to the yard. Also got home before 5pm and being Friday I'm more than cool with that.

I'm still not working weekends. I love having a full 2 days off predictably and like a normal person. Monday is another Richmond again.

I need to figure out why the truck has been running rough. I'll start with the fuel filters even though the DAVCO doesn't show high yet since I can't see what's in the spin on at the fuel pump. It doesn't sputter or stumble but its very grindy rumbly "coarse" feeling when it's demanding full power. It's like a barely above idle lugging feeling but it's not actually lugging. The RPMs are plenty high. But it smooths out when the load demand is low.

It doesn't feel it stumbles when sitting in neutral and revving it either. Maybe it's normal for these newer trucks. I don't remember if it's always done it and I was too gleeful about owning it to notice or if it got worse over time or if suddenly I'm being too picky.

I am glad you posted about this. My truck has a rough idle and sputters when starting off, like the power just dies and then it gets going.
I wasn't sure how to write it up or what it was. I am now thinking it could be fuel filters, and I will write it up as that. It might not be but that will get the ball rolling.
I was thinking maybe air in the fuel rods but filters seems more likely.

Filter change hasn't done anything for the behavior of the truck. I'm thinking it's just due for a valve adjustment. I had a couple done on the day cab and it made a pretty good difference. I don't know when the last one was done but it wasnt while I had it.

I have an appointment for the kingpins on the 2nd so I'll try to coordinate it around then. My inspection is due sometime in September as well. I forget the exact day. I always wait until the company threatens to shut me down. It's easier than remembering.

As of today we also got a raise in pay on the longer stuff, namely the route I've been doing almost every day. It's not a mind boggling amount more but it adds up when it's your bread and butter. Quick and dirty math for my lack of consistency says it's good for an extra 20k a year without changing anything else like fuel or wear. So I'll take it.

Same prescription but fresh lenses did wonders for my night vision. I thought I was going crazy because all these LEDs were doing a number. But apparently plastic lenses go hazy after a while and cleaning doesn't help.

They're probably on the same level as plastic headlights susceptible to UV.

I do need a new windshield at some point but it became less important all of a sudden.

Might even tolerate running nights again since that's what my body always wants to do.

Also, Richmond sucks less.
