I did just that on this one Volvo they assigned me.

It had one of those super-width bumpers that was like 4 inches closer to the ground than the others.

Went to a pickup where the lot was dirt and full of potholes. Got the bumper hung up when one steer did a dip.

Got out of it but there was a noticeable lean. End of the day took my cars jack and evened it out.

Tell you what, you and @Duck keep coming up with ideas you guys will one day form your own little company.

I've seen that happen.

Afew jobs back at Border Team all they ran was Volvo's because they had a deal with somewheres on Lease Returns and their Shop knew nothing but Volvo inside and out..

Comfy ride I'll give the Volvo that a Smooth Ride and Comfy Cab

Their DEF or Emissions systems were good to Never in the 2 times I ran for them had an Emissions Problem..

"Unlike" Freightshaker and Peterbuils that Filter always clogged past a "Regen" or switch don't work and needs shop to hook computer up and Hard Reset It..

In the case of a Peterbuilt 386 the whole thingy hadda be removed and sent off to "Bake"..

Nonetheless rest of Volvo was "Plastic" and Cracked

Well you’re putting it out there. I’m not trying to trap you or anything. But mileage pay doesn’t amount to much if you spend 10 hours to do 100 miles. 5.40 sounds great, but 5.40 on 75 miles or 275, makes a huge difference.

Plus Fuel , Maintenance everything else those Operational Costs .

It's pretty simple. Take what you grossed for the day and divide that by how many hours you put in.
I think he's talking Household Expenses too..

There's keeping the Operation going but when ya get back home still got the Mortgage , the Kids to Feed, and while you were gone the "Wifey" probably went to the Mall and ran up afew Grand on the Discover Card too..

Heck he should just get a Sleeper Cab and back her in the hole at Truckstop..

No "Property Taxes" which for me are Due "Again" and they raised my "Mill" Rate

If ya need to get out once in awhile find a nice Motel and stretch out afew days

Closest I got was a "shady" lease purchase program a decade ago..

If that Old School Ford Daycab runs good doesn't give ya lots of repair issues and take care of her I think you'll do just fine..

You ain't got a Family or a House so you should do really well
