did you lease with england?? why do you want to lease and be a company slave and take a chance of loosing everything including your real home. bust you butt for 2 years save every penny you can and learn the bussiness

If you got fired from CRE, why would you consider their "sister company"? It seems I'd want to sever ties with that whole gang of crooks.
Cause he's being stupid while he's temporarely ****ed off!! If he did lease and he lost his job wait till he gets a bill in the mail and they mark up his dac. He needs to take a chill. Pill and calm down and get his panties out of a wad! For someone to be acting like this won't last 2 minutes in this industry!! I'd'e hate to see him sit and wait to be loaded or unloaded and wait 2 or 3 hrs

I think this guy was probably sitting at CRE's headquarters waiting on a van to take him to the bus terminal, and he had to shut off his computer and go. He seems to have disappeared.

Maybe we'll hear from him when he gets home.

I think CRE spends more money on advertising than any other company. If they are so desperate for drivers why would be they be willing to let them go so easily?

Maybe that rumor about them getting 10 grand for every rookie they train is true. Once they get their 10 grand or however much it is, they don't need 'em any more. They need to make room for the fresh crop of rookies to train.

Considering damage to their reputation, insurance costs, advertising, ect., I would think $10k would not be enough to cover the losses.

I think what we should all be upset over is that the government is subsidizing such a poorly run company.

i think there should be some kind of law in place to prevent this crap and it should be against the law unless it's a legit school not one just running em through a mill to keep the seats cold for the next head

I'd edit that post and get rid of the "and lease" part, LOL.

Most experienced drivers will warn rookies not to sign any kind of lease with a carrier cuz you usually end up in the poor-house. There are ... two ... people I've heard say that they're doing ok with a lease, but the overwhelming majority of them fail and go broke.

I don't predict you'll have any serious trouble getting hired somewhere else. Maybe a little extra scrutiny, but the mega-carriers will hire pretty much anyone who can turn a corner without running over an elementary school.
why in the hell would i lease a truck for 700 a week for a crap truck when for the same money i could be i a new truck with a 168 inch sleeper with all the bells and whistels??

i would say the best truck to have is one thats paid off then you can sit back licking your chops collecting the money till the darn thing braks down!!

I drive for CRE for now. (please hold your applause...and no rock throwing either. I'm the best driver they got...and that's not saying much for me) Company. Solo. That Qual-Com squaks, farts, beeps and yells at you when your hours are up. It's an easy rule to follow and I look forward to burning up my 70 hours for an excuse to sit on on my ass for a day and a half and flirt with pretty girls. How'd you do that to get yourself in this mess? And what was your deal to ignor the hours rule thing man? You must have done more stuff. They have a level 1,2,3 & 4 at CRE (4 is aka..your butt is in a sling) on logs for violations. They warn you and try and help you where you're f'ing things up. I don't get it man? How'd you do that? But like they say..."An education will cost you money." If you do get on with someone else... don't do that again. Learn the game and play it. You ain't gonna change it. Good luck man. Do what you love and love what you do. Be safe...-buckboard

I keep hearing these "rumors" about government subsidies for trucking companies, but when I try to find information about them all I find is links to posts on internet forums.

So how about posting a link to something substantial?

And something else to think about. It costs a company more than the subsidy to train a new driver and get him or her ready for the road to be a productive employee. It doesn't sound like good business to crank people through seats and not realize a return on the investment in them.

There has to be more to this story. A company doesn't just terminate someone for one "little" violation.
