Worst truckstop ever?

Some people may know of the place I Will refer to, some never to have gone there or even know where it is.

Maxton, NC

BP Located directly across from Campbell's Soup.

not exactly what we refer to as a truck stop, but has amenities 4 us all.. anyways u think the Dallas T/A or Flying J is bad for crackheads banging on your door all day and night? Not even close compared to here. Many of you have had to pick up at Campbell's soup there in Maxton, NC and are aware of how bad the appalachain whores are. They come out the woods, literally. =p

Oh my god i remeber that place!!! what a dump. And the crack whores. Last time i was there i was driving for a company called Metropolitan Trucking (good company but that is beside the point here) well i had to wait like 12 hours for my load had this prego lizard come to the truck like 8 times. Hell i was even approached when i was walking my dog.

No one mentioned the lovely establishment on I-78 in PA. between Hershey and Allentown. I think its called Patriot(?) Truck Stop.
Dirt parking area, uneven, with a separate greasy spoon slop house.
Lovely run down interior of the main building with the usual scents.

The Triple TTT in Tucson, AZ. on I-10.
Dirt lot with grading problems coupled with Asphalt, holes, etc.
Trollops both male and female living in the woods or brush on the west side venturing through the lot consistently day and night to/from the 7-11 on the east side. Lovely trailer park community on the east side as well.
Beautiful view of the mountain range apart from the wandering denizens in the lot.
NO SMOKING in any of the buildings unless at the gaming areas, so go figure.

t.a., Jessup, MD was mentioned albeit briefly.
Restaurant WAS nice once or twice BEFORE the charged for parking area.
Showers were typical of ANY t.a.
Parking area is adequate however is a well designed trap with the previous accesses blocked/sealed.

Heartland in Barstow.. if it's still open. It's been at;least 10 years since I've been through there.

Also there was a TA in Mesquite TX. Had my front bumper torn off and nobody saw a thing.... imagine that.

If this were the sole qualification of "worst", so many truckstops would fit. I think a million parking lots smell like permapee.

That was a uberdump.

You know things are bad when they just decide to tear down a truckstop instead of fixing the place up.

One time I stayed there, and the skankiest lot lizard I ever saw tried to get me interested. I shudder just thinking about it. It's one of those things that thinking about it would have come in handy when I was in high school and things would just spontaneously get big at the worst possible times, if you know what I mean.

Barber shop, showers, People are great. I would recomend this to anyone that is passing north of Birmingham. I had never been there before last week and I stumbled on this by accident.

How about the TA in Antioch TN. Or how every you spell that town.
really hard to get out of.
small fuel island.
Really gross restrooms.
Very little parking.
travle lanes in parking lot is like driving through a bomb range (and its paved that way these are not holes that were made by trucks it was how that parking made WOW!)
Went in to this jewl to get a tire fixed went to leave and had bolt form the parking lot blow another tire after i jus got one fixed got that one fixed and had another go flat for unkown reasons. This was not do to lack of pretrip I guage my tires to make sure and inspect Im safty stickler.
AND OH yeah the place is covered in lizards I mean not just 1 or 2 or 3 but i counted the little time I was there 18 diffrent lizards OMG !

Other thing you will notice about the resturant is the smell of piss (note the resturant smells like piss not the restrooms they smell worse!)

Didnt take a shower there went down the road to another truck stop for that.
after being there for 4 hours that was enuff for me.

SO! I know better then to stop at a TA but if do stop at one south of nashville on I-24 in antioch TN Im sorry and you have my sympothy. save your self a headache and get in and get out DONT STAY! Get your shots later for what ever desease you might have picked up there for just beathing the air around the place. If you touched any thing well you may want to concider amputation of what ever limb that did the touching, that is if does not fall off own its own or sprouts and 2nd head and starts talking to you.

AND THE WORST EVER...

That place in New Freakin' Hampshire where they charge you for a shower and then give you a TOKEN and tell you it lasts ELEVEN MINUTES.

"Eleven minutes?!" I ask.
"Yes, eleven minutes. If you concentrate, and plan, it works out good." Says the cashier chick (who probably has never taken a shower in her freakin' life!)

So...I go upstairs, and find one shower completely and totally filthy. I elect to wait. This wait lasts about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, nobody cleans the other shower. A guy coomes out of the shower, and I ask him:

"Hey, anyone clean these things?"

His response, and I'm not joking...

"EH?! EH?! Blaa blaa blaa french speaking french speaking french very loudly speaking french very loud very loud!!!!!"

I'm thinking F***ing great! I go back downstairs to the cashier (who also happens to be in the cafe, you know, for extra trashiness, and ask if anyone cleans the showers between uses.

"Nope! We have a guy that comes in at like 11 or something."

I asked for my money back. They gave it back, not surprised, b ut surprised at the fact I wasn't the only one.

Talk about taking advantage of being the only truck stop around!
