Tractor Brake Knobs Causing Injuries

Who can relate to fingers & hands getting forcefully hit and pinched by Air Brake Pull/Push Knobs on the dash of trucks, and does anyone have any input on the injuries it can cause?

Every once in a while my pinky finger gets smacked by the knob as I'm popping it out & it kinda stings for a few seconds.

Should I go get an X-ray next time it happens? 🤔

Is there a class action suit for people who get mild, momentary fingertip pain? If so, where do I sign up to get the $7.86 I'm owed for my pain and suffering? 😂

I've heard you can get injuries like sterility and PTSD. Also severe social anxiety to the point where you can't handle a trip to Walmart without an emotional support animal such as a chinchilla or sea urchin.

Terrible stuff.

Safety first.

THINK SAFTY

😆
My palm hurts because that's what I use to push them in. I should sue Freightliner, Mack, and Bendix.
😆

I thought getting smacked or pinched was fairly common for us truck drivers & not really something we all pay much attention to as a big deal. But apparently stress injuries to hands, fingers & wrists are pretty common & we just don't ever talk about it. Stuff like sprains, strains, bone spurs, pressure fractures, etc. I read an article about a study done on bus drivers (who have to use their brakes at every stop) having lots of issues, even shoulder problems. I only found out this week that there's even little metal lever that can be attached to the knob to keep your hands out of the way that requires less force to pull the knobs. Like I said, it never occurred to me that it could be a bigger problem than just a few seconds of ouch for us.
