Instead of making it Powered By C15 maybe make it say Kitteh Powah.
I think just the bottom 2 lines work better than either other option
Yep. Just the bottom 2 lines.
No need to mention it's not a 3406.
I have the original owners manual for my 1988 LTL9000. It lists the specs for both engine options, the Big Cam IV and the 3406b. There's only maybe 15hp difference.I agree, but I'm not a 3406 fan. All of them I've driven have been turds. Never drove Tim's Li'l Red, though.
But not from envy…
I'm seeing red.I’m green…

Catch me needs to be on one line though..

You sound like a meme. You guys didn't really drive any 'tuned' 3406B, four and a quarters, in the mid 80's. I would put the "B" that I had in my 85, 359, up against the C-16's and smile as I went by.
They may have eeeked out 1 mpg more, but I was over one hill and up the next before the '16' go to the top of the first one.
HP is just that, a number. It's the torque that pulls the load and the driver that knows how to 'read' his gauges. The "B" was at it's finest at 1200, with 'Kitty Litter' blowing out of the stacks and 65psi going into the manifold. The pyrometer reads 1100F. You settle back in the seat and prepare for the left lane pull.
I think you're right. It's the ACERT. Li'l Red is a 2007. But there are ....just a few mods to that engine.I think Tim's is a C-15
We were about 7,000 over gross, climbing a grade that had other trucks crawling with their blinkers on.I think you're right. It's the ACERT. Li'l Red is a 2007. But there are ....just a few mods to that engine.

I'd probably blow up a truck like that but man that'd be nice. Maintaining speed I mean. Not kaboom. We were about 7,000 over gross, climbing a grade that had other trucks crawling with their blinkers on.
Tim said "look at the speedometer". We were doing 70 mph.
Yeah, slightly modified.![]()
It needed a rebuild at 750K, just a tad premature, but he was laying down around 850 with it.I'd probably blow up a truck like that but man that'd be nice. Maintaining speed I mean. Not kaboom.
I think I remember he kept blowing head gaskets or something. It needed a rebuild at 750K, just a tad premature, but he was laying down around 850 with it.
Yeh... Well, that's weird, huh..I think I remember he kept blowing head gaskets or something.
389, I stand by my statement.
Ever pop a head gasket running boost like that? You guys didn't really drive any 'tuned' 3406B, four and a quarters, in the mid 80's. I would put the "B" that I had in my 85, 359, up against the C-16's and smile as I went by.
