But I will be making a trip to Phoenix within the month so I can sign for Girly's purchase agreement. This agreement will come with another 250K miles of warranty. I'm cool with that.
I don't know what this means? Can you explain?

I'm not getting special treatment. I'm following the same program available to everyone at Swift. The only special treatment I got when I signed on in July 2010 was I told them where I was going to go and who I was going to work with. I reserved that right in my contract. I have remained under Swift's authority the entire time of this lease contract and will almost surely remain until the purchase contract is also complete. I see no reason to change what I'm doing if it's doing what I need it to.Thats cool! they give you 250k warranty on the truck after signing over, Following your story Swift has treated you right and continues to treat you right.
I have been on a straight lease for the duration of my current contract. Just like leasing an apartment, office space or a car, it has been a rental agreement.I don't know what this means? Can you explain?
Yes.Oh, OK. So you've been sort of renting the truck so far and now your actually going to make payments to own the truck.
More like leasing a car. You make the payments with the option to buy out at the end of the lease. The dealer offers a warranty after the purchase as a bonus rather than have it sitting on the lot used. I would rather and have considered buying a truck that the lease has expired on. I know the truck. A truck sitting on the lot I know nothing about, I would not pay as much on or even consider, So it is a win, Win for both you and the lessor.I have been on a straight lease for the duration of my current contract. Just like leasing an apartment, office space or a car, it has been a rental agreement.
When I go to Phoenix, I will be signing the actual purchase contract at the end of which, I will get the ownership title to my truck.
While I'm there for this paperwork, their shop people will go through the mechanical stuff and, if it passes their inspection (it will) I will get another warranty from Swift that will cover Girly for another 250,000 miles beyond the mileage at inspection. That means the warranty will be good until there's almost 800K miles on the truck. This is where having a good maintenance program and fixing problems while they're small will pay off.
on completing your lease deal. all the best to you.
Note the truck to my left with the chains laying on the ground. He laid them down about 15 minutes ago. I'm not exactly sure what the benefit will be having them on the downhill side when he needs to get a-goin' again.
A driver for some small independent outfit got sideways and had to have a hook pull him loose. There were about a half dozen drivers who found out why cables are a waste if money.
I got to hand it to you out there. Lookout pass and all that. When a trucker chooses to stick behind a plow you know it is bad out there. I blew past a few plows in Maine because it was not that bad and it was stupid slow for no reason. A whole different ball game out there on the left coast.View attachment 24729
Lookout Pass, 4 miles from the summit eastbound. I had to put some snowshoes on just to get moving again and there's no guarantee it'll do much good. I'm off to the side so the state vehicles can get through...and in an attempt to have something to grip to get going once this crap clears.

On my way to Phoenix.

Nah. I'll just get crusty. Be like @Tim, @Fageol and @Hammer166.You? Phoenix? You'll melt

Why else would she leave the left side?Is this the signing trip?
Already signed the purchase agreement three weeks ago. This is the mechanical inspection for the extra warranty. Is this the signing trip?
