Swift: In-Cab Cameras

And the f***tards who think they're great & spew out all that "if you have nothing to hide" crap are the worst.

They're the types I'm sure would've (justifiably) had their bones broken by other truckers back in these "good old days" the old timers are always talking about.
I am more than sure the phrase "well, If you got nothing to hide" was thought up and handed down to the stupid by the government.
That is not how it works or should work the phrase should be "If you got some suspicions or accusations, Then you need to prove them, Get a warrant first!"

This sucks for the SWIFT drivers. When you have a job that you like and depend on to support your family, it sucks to have something like this come along.

One of the drawbacks of technology though, and it will likely become commonplace in the industry, especially I'd a huge company like SWIFT sees fewer accidents as a result. Insurance costs will basically make it a requirement at that point.

Back in the 80's up home there was a PI outfit that did this sort of thing.... followed drivers around and reported their every move.

When they showed up at Crosby Molasses, the outfit I was driving for, Jim Crosby called all the drivers into his office, told us what the guy was doing and told us if we ever saw the SOB on the road we had his full permission to run the scumbag into the woods or whatever else we felt.
Jim was a very cool guy
.

At Day and Ross, a couple of their "officers" got pretty badly messed up because "dispatch" accidentally sent out a complete list of the "operatives, their cars and licence plates. The VP who hired them found 3 sticks of dynamite in his mailbox (no detonators).

When they approached the Irving group, the Irvings were so incensed they turned their law firm loose on them and ran them right out of the Maritimes.

People are too chicken to solve problems with scumbags the old fashioned way these days.

Nope, too many scum sucking, ambulance chasing lawyers around looking for a lawsuit to file.... plus waaaay too many "Progressive" teachers teaching kids that "There is no God but government".

Too bad, there are few problems out there that could be much easier settled by a good ol fashioned azz-whipping.

I have a friend that started at swift about 8 months ago it's his first driving job and he went through Swift's Driving School and last week he texted me complaining that they put a camera in his truck he wants to quit now

Hey, y'all, I got Hammer's poke tonight :)

I'm settled in Albuquerque, my favorite city. My job is OK, but I haven't made any progress on a wrenching job. My motivation started flagging, and I haven't really been looking much. I change my mind a lot. Not sure I'm still interested.

I'm not on the Internet much anymore. I dropped out of sight on almost every forum except Facebook. Too much to do in the real world, ya know? ;)
