Quack 20

Ok so I'm about to pack my stuff up & they said to hop in the van and go 70 miles up the road and meet my ride home, who is out of hours. His load went to the yard.

So I did that, got back & my truck is cleaned out.

F***ing recruiter told the wash bay guys to clean it out. They said some guy's stuff is in there. So the dipshit called the driver who was in that truck 3 weeks ago and has been reassigned a new truck. He said it's not his, so rather than checking the Qualcomm to see who is logged in to that truck he told them to throw everything away.

They helped themselves to my carton of smokes, propane torch, road atlas, jar of change, and the birthday present I bought for Mrs Duck & threw the rest in the dumpster.

They said they put my cell phone charger & blue tooth in the recruiters office. By then it was after hours & that f***ing retard had locked up & went home. So I broke in & got it.

Dug all the rest of my stuff out of the dumpster but of the stuff I listed above, the propane torch is the only thing I found, because they'd left it on a shelf in the trailer shop.

That sumb**** is lucky he wasn't there.

Sounds like someone in the wash bay need a lesson in manners:bigpaddle: if it is not yours do not take it. And then a quick trip to the recruiter:deadhorse:

It's not the wash bay boys fault. It's 100% the fault of the recruiter's stupidity.

Common sense dictates that when you're told to throw stuff away, and you see a perfectly good item, you can keep it.

Walked into the VP's office recording video. He said something like "what are you doing?" & I said "is this annoying?" & he said yes.

Turns out, he was showing the customer service guy what the drive cam videos looked like but he left the office when I walked in. Probably figured there was about to be some drama.

So then the boss turned his computer monitor screen so I could see it & started playing video clips for me.

None of them were anything a guy would get in trouble for. One of them was a black guy who was trying to maintain a good following distance & got brake checked by a dumbass in a car. Boss said good job.

Next was a driver IN THE BUNK lying down, parked in a dock. Forklift set the camera off.

Next, a driver exceeded 10 mph in a shippers parking lot without his seat belt on. Boss didn't care because it wasn't on the road.

Next, a driver was pulling over on a ramp to take a leak and when the right steer tire went over the edge of the pavement onto the gravel it looked like a 4" drop that rocked the cab. Driver had been using the visor to block his face from the camera but right at that moment he leaned forward and looked at the camera to see if the light was flashing. He had a scared look on his face. The boss was laughing at him & imitating his facial expressions.

At this point I said "THIS - RIGHT HERE - is why I don't want a camera in my face. You're sitting here making fun of this guy & showing it to another driver who has no business seeing it. I don't want you & who the f*** knows sitting here laughing at me when a forklift shakes the truck while I'm picking my nose. I don't consent to that."

Boss got his squinty-eyed angry look & rambled something like "this is the first time this week I've even looked at these, blah blah blah".

------

This was after I'd gone & fetched this other truck and drove it 70 miles to the yard and pushed it's camera's panic button 7 times while I had cardboard over it. The front lens isn't blocked. That's why the last time I hit the button I was in the driveway facing the terminal building.

He said he'll get those clips tomorrow. I didn't tell him I had it blocked.

-----

So we get ready to leave. I was driving because other guy is out of hours. He sees the cardboard on the camera and freaks out saying that they already said something to him about blocking the camera. I said I'm the one logged in to the elog so if they say anything, call me & I'll proudly take full credit, or just tell them to look at who was driving at the time.

This right here is why people should be standing up against these things far more than they ever were with the elogs. These things are a pure invasion of privacy.

He, or She, could have been naked in that bunk, and here we have upper management at the trucking company basically able to play peeping tom.

So I guess the word around the terminal this morning is that I was storming through the shop yelling that I was going to bash the recruiter's head in.

I might've said that, but I don't remember.

Anyway he's too much of a chicken shit to even CALL me when I'm now 500 miles away. He had his assistant do it. She went & found the rest of my stuff except the 4 packs of cigarettes I forgot to mention. Says she'll mail it if I won't be back for a while.

Also since my down pillow was saturated with garbage water & I left it in there, she said buy a new one & send in the receipt for reimbursement.

So where's the most expensive place to get a feather pillow? ;)

Well now, let's think about something here. The " new generation" thinks nothing about "sharing" intimate pics of themselves, even among kids. What used to be known as "phone sex" is now in full display (with pics) via "smart phones" and the internet. They glory in having every detail of their day on video. They think it's cool and makes them free and important.

Remember when laws were passed putting videos in factories under the guise of "theft protection" and "safety"? Now we accept them in "public restrooms" and such because it's "in the public interest". Now we have vid cameras as "burglary protection" 24/7 that is "available to your smart phone wherever you are" (and who else's?).

Pretty soon anyone who is not under 24/7/365 voluntary surveillance will be looked at under suspicion of having "something to hide". All for the "Public Good" mind you.

Hitler and Stalin would have loved this crap.

You would have to be into some real preverted (intentional) sh*t to wanna see that!

A @Duck 's butt?
:D

Hey, is that a down pillow?

Yeah, it came from...
down there.
:D
Well now I'm not sure. I got home & my pillow here is feathers. I thought I only had one but now I'm thinking I had 2.

:headscratch2:

I was totally brain dead by the time I got home because I'd been awake for 27 hours. And we were in & out of snow the whole way. And the guy whose truck I drove home is kinda odd.

Not odd in a bad way like that guy @Sinister works with, just regular odd. He would probably fit right in with all of us weirdos on here except he doesn't like internet stuff.
