Moving again...

That quite a rig for camping. I like places free of humans out of the way places. I can find a lot to enjoy and get into. Always leave a place just as I found it...It almost as if I were never there.
that rig is amazing lol. You can be off the grid for weeks at a time:). Plus it can go just about anywhere. I don't like rv parks I don't like being so close to my neighbors that our awnings are touching. I love boon docking period. I like being out in nature and not having noisey neighbors lol. And seriously I am not gonna pay an rv park for services I can get for free or next to nothing. I always leave the place better than when I came in

That ain't "camping."

D DAY has finally arrived...Thursday 30th we have to be out of the House by Lunch time...guess I best start packing a few things now but where do I begin :confused-96:...I'm travelling up to Dublin early tomorrow Morning to collect a twin-Axle Trailer and Stephen is following me down in a Truck we've rented...hopefully we can do it all in the one run...

I'll be off line for a while til' I get the Internet connected...Jean is more concerned with missing her TV Soaps and several other Suppliers have to be contacted also , anyway this is going to take a few Days but as Arnie sez..."I'll be back"

I only paid $23k for this

Why the hell pay 19k for a bed with a roof? A roof you can not even stand up in?
That's what I was initially looking at when I gave up on house hunting. Livability is better but I like the idea of pulling something you can't even feel behind you for road tripping (MPG wise). Especially when all you have is a half ton pickup.

But yer right I'd never pay 19k for a teardrop.

Ide pay 19k for a teardrop before I paid 700-800 a month in his fees at them rates I would be thinking about how many vacations I could take and how much booz I could buy with that money:whistling:

Had my 1st run-in with the local Nosey Parker and Crackpot {every Neighbourhood should have one}...a few Days ago I was standing outside in the Post Stamp size Garden pondering on what I'd line up for the Spring clean-out when this Car pulls up in the middle of the Road and this Pint sized Woman alights and demands to know if I'm the new owner of this Property and who was I....having already been warned about her I was not letting her lay down the marker so I said "Lets rewind the scene and begin again, you return to your Car and approach me again in a civilized manner and then we can talk" and turned my back on her...then I heard her say "Welcome to Mallow,I'm Mary O Connoll and I live at the back of your House"...I took an instant disliking to her straight away ...

After the usual small talk she asked me what plans I had for the Garden which I thought was a strange question but the Builder had told me about Laurel Shrubs She had him plant as a Boundary between our Properties before She had a 6'-6" Wall built leaving the Laurels on my side of the Wall... well sez I the 1st items to go are those Laurels..."Oh no you wont She responds" they are the Boundary between our Properties..."Oh yes I will, as far as I am concerned you set the Boundary when you erected that Wall...Well she sez storming off "I will be seeing my Solicitor {Attorney} about this... Well sez I when you bring him back with you ask him to bring a change of Clothing and he can help me Uproot the Laurels...haven't heard from her since...

The "Sky Light" also has a story ...The Builder had intended installing that before we moved in but was reluctant in case the Crank would object and was waiting to ask us...without hesitating I instructed him to install it straight away and pass her onto me if any verbal threats were made... her objection would be so ludicrous no Court in the Land would even entertain her claim that I would be overlooking her Property despite her living in a 2 Storey House and I'm in a Bungalow ...DOH...even Homer would understand that...She is a Retired School Teacher and used to getting her way over the School Children... Haven't heard or seeing Sight of her since that Day...

Finally getting the Ball rolling on a number of fronts after a few Hiccups...as I write the Stair Lift for Jean is being installed so my Snug Room {Tepee Room} is no longer out of reach to her. She has not been upstairs since we moved in........Had the Community Nurse visit yesterday to see what Assistance they can offer to make things easier for Jean in terms of Physical Aids.............Just received word that all my Medical Reports have been forwarded to our Family Doctor and the Local Hospital will be in touch regarding the continuation of my Cardiac Treatment..........getting 2 Built-in Wardrobes fitted next Week............Got a bargain price on a load of Railway Sleepers which will be a great help when I get around to putting in several raised Beds come Spring...

The Son {Steven} is putting the finishing touches to 2 Side Gates { Walkway either side of the Bungalow} to give more Security and has the Material for the main Street Gates.......I also discovered that compared to Sligo my Diesel {Gasoline} costs have been slashed by at least 75% ...in Sligo I was filling the Tank on a Weekly basis with about €70 {$55/60}... in the last 6 Weeks I've only filled it twice costing €100 {$80} in total...and finally there is the makings of a 4th Bedroom upstairs with only cosmetic work needed to finish it off...

So all in all things are looking up {not that they have ever been down} and this is one happy Bunny signing off...

PS...also had the Workshop erected and now I'm fitting the Floor in and erecting Shelves...

PPS...Stair lift finished and completed...and the Installer Tim gave me a Name and Number of a Lad who does Attic conversions and he is coming on Monday to give me a Quote...:yahoo:

Received a Phone-call from the Bro-in-law on Friday Night asking if I was interested in a Trailer load of Timber which was soon to be chopped up for Firewood... Yesterday Morning I was on the Road at 4am heading for Sligo and a Date with a Yard full of assorted Timbers...filling the Trailer to the Hilt and beyond including Window Frames and an assortment of Wall Trellis fixtures I was in 7th Heaven {alright I have a weird passion} enough to erect a Gazebo onto the rear Patio Door and a Porch type Timber Frame over the front Door with Climbing Roses eventually covering it...Our Builder also left behind a bundle of Slates which will find a new Home on the Gazebo and Porch Roofs respectively blending in with the existing Roof Slates...and if I can make it back before next Weekend I can fill the Trailer again...after that the rest will be chopped up so another Trip during the Week...I can never have too much Timber...just sickens me that I am unable to take it all...it's a sacrilege to destroy what could be a thing of beauty...

Dropped out to the old Homestead with a bunch of Keys I'd forgotten to leave behind and thinking I might feel Nostalgic I was surprised to feel nothing...It wasn't the House we had lived in for 11 years when it was warm and lived in...now it was cold {they had no Fire lit} and the Furnishings were minimal...different Colour Schemes not to this oul' Farts taste and a neglected Garden which could do with a good tidying up ,but they are a young Couple with their own ideas and no doubt when they settle in priorities will gradually fall into place...I wish them the very best...

Dropped into Denis and Mary for the CnC but it wasn't the same...we both knew we were only going through the motions and I was not crossing over the Road when I left to go back to my House ...all too soon I was shaking Hands and bidding Farewell...dropped into Mary and Peggy {Jeans Sisters} and the 3 of us went up to our local Eatery and had a fine Meal / Chat before leaving them Home and starting the long trip back to Sligo arriving Home at 7.30 pm by 9pm I was under the Blankets and slept through til' the Alarm rang at 6am...Showered and Dressed, had my Coffee and off to Church...got the Sunday Papers and back Home and Feet up...Jessie {Granddaughter} and Jean were still in the "Scratcher" Bed so I left them there and availed of the Quietness and Solitude for another while longer with the Dog...sometimes the simple things in Life are the best...

I
All the way from Sligo?

That’s the Ireland equivalent of Maine to Florida LMAO!

I had to look up my "Rand Mc Nally Road Atlas" to see how far your Distance was...EErrrr... your in for a Hell of a shock...on paper both distances look the same but in reality your approx' 8 times the distance and 6 times the time it takes...1,597mls to our 200mls...25hrs to 4hrs...you probably already knew that but it frightened the :poo2: out of me I can tell you...There is no way I could spend that amount of time with Jean {as much as I love her} in the Car or with anyone for that matter...{make a Note to myself...If ever I decide to become a Trucker in the US... Go Solo}:grandpa:
