Moving again...

Just finished spending the Day packing Boxes...over 40 of them so far and I haven't even begun clearing out my Workshop yet...also dismantled the Beds bar our one and tomorrow it's up to the local Charity Shop with another Car load of unwanted Goods but will benefit someone else...Aideen and the Children are only gone back to Cork after spending the last few Days here helping with the packing...

We were in Cork last week measuring for Curtains and looking at a few Sheds for storage Space in the back Garden / Yard... there was a time not so long ago I would have built my own in a few Days sadly now I've to pay someone to do it for me... hopefully our next Trip will be the last one...Jeans condition is not improving if anything it's getting worse...the Doctor wants her to have a Scan to rule out or confirm her Altimers / Dementia but she's refusing any treatment, I suppose I'd be the same not wanting to know...anyway she is comfortable and not in any kind of distress , the other Day she had a fall in the Bedroom {on the 3" Shag-pile Carpet, Posh oul git, ain't I :harumph:} but no Injuries...I had to call Denis over to give me a hand lifting her up as she has no power in her Arms or Legs to assist...put her sitting on the Bed and just caught her as she began sliding onto the Floor again...never a dull moment in the Dunne Household....

Made out a fairly comprehensive list of Items we hope to sell to the incoming Couple which will help with our Expenses , we're in the :poop: if they don't want them although they did indicate interest........................They better:bigpaddle:

Rving is fun and relaxing. I made a lot of trips in a rv.
if you consider sitting in an rv park with screaming kids and people partying all night fun lol. my next motorhome will be an earthroamer built on the ford F750 chassis with tons of solar and batteries so i can live off grid for a month at a time

Right now you got some interesting projects in the makings with your move. I think if I was ever to decide to move I just auction everything off a person can collect a mountain of things over the years. Best wishes for you and Mrs. with your new home.

That not quite my idea of RV relaxation. No park, no screaming kids, no party. I would want to be where no human are around. Something like this.1510204153269.webp

Pure utter Bliss...we both have a lot in common...the young couple purchasing our House Honeymooned in the US and took in Route 66 during their stay...my Bucket list included doing just that in a Red open top Cadilac and stopping at a Diner for a large Coffee and an even larger slice of Blueberry Pie ...guess I'll just have to continue dreaming about it...

Regarding selling off surplus goods the Couple did buy a lot from us but other stuff had to go on the local Web...we are hoping the W/E of the 18/19th for the move barring any unexpected holdups...keeping our Fingers crossed and worn out Knees from Prayers for a happy ending...

I am attracted to those off the path places away from main roads. One never knows what they might find. I traveled parts of old route 66 at one time was pretty famous highway. Never give up on a dream because about the time you think it might not happen it crops up and does happen.

Well positive progress was made when the couple bought a lot of the stuff and sure the rest will sell also. I think of your moving as a new adventure for you and the Mrs. and then there all those new neighbors to meet too. Remember you never get too old for adventures and fun times.

An old Boy Scout tip...from the Hole in the Tent place your Finger at the Hole on the outside and run it down to the bottom of the Tent...in doing that the Rainwater follows the Finger mark and draws the Rain away from the Hole...problem solved...after spending almost 20 years in the Uniform you pick up these tips.......back in those Days we did not have disposable ones and had to stretch their Lifespan as much as we could...

I'd just get a teardrop camper. It's big enough to be a bed and kitchen and small enough to keep you outside enjoying nature. Not to mention small, easy to tow, and having little effect on fuel economy... allowing more budget for adventures.

I can't be the only one who wants to spend the same amount on fuel as a truck costs when it pulls freight...

I love the teardrops.
Almost went to look at a couple from CL a few weeks ago.

Route 66 with a teardrop in my old Chevelle is on the bucket list...
if I ever get the car finished.

Yeah I'd get one that has the kitchen inside though. Screw standing in the rain to cook a hot dog. They're a little bigger but not by much.

I'm not a fan of the prices on new ones though. The model I saw with the indoor kitchen was $19,000. Ouch.

Yer just takin' yer house with ya. That ain't campin'.
yea so but being able to pull off to the side of the road to take a crap is priceless:D. yea i'm taking the house with me that don't mean i'm in it 24-7 starring at the idiot box having a beer in an rv park that's not campin:coocoo:. there's plenty of things to do and sites to see to warrant the need for an idiot box!!!

That quite a rig for camping. I like places free of humans out of the way places. I can find a lot to enjoy and get into. Always leave a place just as I found it...It almost as if I were never there.
