I was finally able to score some chicken legs and leg quarters.
The last few times they weren't in stock. I am assuming that is because of the high cost of beef, so everyone is buying chicken these days.

Not many farms selling their meat in Toronto hey? We have rarely bought meat at the grocery store for years. The scattered time we've decided to because nothing was taken out to thaw it's been a lot of that same issue. I kinda chalked it up to being more remote but I don't know now.

I got a rump roast for $8/lb & slice (angrily saw) it into inch thick steaks and toss em on the ribbed griddle cast iron thingy that goes on the camp stove.

It's not tender like filet mignon but that's fine.

(I used the camp stove because it's too hot to cook in the house and I don't have a real grill.)

I have heard of a few people doing this to save some money on the cost of steaks.
I know it's the same thing, but you save on the butchering cost.

That rump roast was a bitch to cut though. It gets to the connective tissue at the bottom and it's like trying to saw through Kevlar with a butter knife.

I buy 4 or 5 whole prime ribs around thanksgiving the meat is already cut from the bone so I take the meat and cut it up into rib eye steaks, the bones I separate and cook them on the grill it is great eating the rib eyes I vacuum seal and we have plenty for most of the year last year I paid $4.99 a lb so got a lot of good eating for a great price!!!

I needed a coffee today after a Dr's appointment. they have a small coffee shop on the main floor, but the barista was closing up for the day, no coffee.
My 6-year Tim Hortons boycott remains intact.
I went to McDonalds. Better coffee, better prices and dead-on balls accurate receiving what you ordered.

When you go to Tims, you place your order and then pull up to the drive-thru window, and you get whatever the fuck they hand you.
An example would be, you order two cream one sugar, you will get either two sugars one cream or a double-double, maybe a Wayne Gretzky- 9 sugars-9 cream.
If you order a bagel with cream cheese, these TFW's can't figure out that the cream cheese goes on the bagel and not in the hole in the center.
Yes, the Hortons has become that bad that real Canadians don't go there anymore!

I can't even remember how many years I've had them boycotted now aside from the scattered time someone offers to pay for a coffee run for everyone but as far as going there myself and giving them my money they can eat a big sack of Richards. I drink black coffee and even that is shit if they have anything to do with it. McDonalds isn't much better these days.

I do not understand for the life of me why so many people still line up around their buildings. I've heard some people say there are a few locations that are still white and decent here on the island . Even if that's true which I highly doubt it's way too little too late as far as I'm concerned.

I tried it with regular home keurig coffee and it was excellent.

Two cream one sugar.
Tim Hortons uses 18% cream. I think McDonalds does too.

The only thing Timmies is good for is their ICE cap coffee.
My wife got me to try it on our last motorcycle trip to the GTA.

I am not into soccer at all but it's the World Cup. The Scottish are apparently on a tear. They were at the Boston V. Toronto baseball game in Boston and having the greatest time. I am not sure if they understand baseball but, there they were in Boston supporting the Boston baseball team.

The Scottish are on such a tear that Boston is running out of beer. Running out of beer they drink so much and not get wrecked.
Unconfirmed but I think they brought in emergency shipments of beer to Boston.
Probably in a few months after this is all over there will be a tally of how much beer was served and how much money was made.

I am loving this because the Scottish are as we say in Canada... Are just fucking give'ner! And having the time of their life in Boston.

There is something different about Dunkins's coffee. We used to have them here before they pulled out of Canada, I went to the location near the Toronto airport a few times and I liked it. I assumed that they used raw sugar. A quick Google search proved me wrong.

I did get a Dunkins coffee at a service plaza in New York state, and it was gross, but I chocked that up to being from a service plaza Dunkin's location.

I want to go on record and say nothing will ever be as gross tasting as a regular coffee from Starbucks, Nothing!

I don't understand the Starbucks thing. It's overpriced and like sewer water for a normal coffee.
Sure, Maybe, if you want to get a Moca- loco-chatta-Latta frappe-Chocolato _to pumps of Pumpkin spice Latte, then sure it might be worth the money.
I will never drink that. EVER!

I went to school with a Korean kid who's father owned a coffee shop, and the father did quite well for himself and his family.

I have thought about opening a small coffee shop. I am not going to pursue it because I really dislike people.
