Knowledge, Knowledge, Knowledge

LOL! I was driving dump trucks, goosenecks loaded down with hay, and other stuff out on the highway from the age of around 12, sometimes out there all by myself, which is why I struggle to take this demand for better driver training seriously.

Today, we would crucify people for allowing the poor wittle children to do such a thing

Actually, in my state(well, only certain counties within my state), a 12 y/o can get a special license to do just that, haul hay, drive to the bus stop, ect. It comes with restrictions, like no highways, and certain periods of the year, and certain times of the day.

@Sinister

Those are all from @mndriver . Someone told me he wants to be "BFF's". I don't know what that means, but it doesn't sound like something I'd enjoy.

..... Are you trying to get me put in another timeout? This one is screaming for DD to respond in kind!

I'll assist you in fending off to some degree... But you best keep a tight grip on the door handle if you are chumming the waters!

Let's get it back on track....

How do you and your fellow co-workers feel about:

1. 34 hour restart

2. 30 minute break

3. 11/14

In general please.

I just wanna know how a Combat Engineer ends up with a Ranger tab, and wings. A Master Paratrooper nonetheless.

And I weren't even in the Army.

I may be mistaken. I never jumped out of any perfectly good aircraft. I was going to for my 40th, but I took my son to Ireland instead.

IMO, I don't agree, nor do I disagree, with the 34 hr restart. Let me expand upon that. Is the 34 required to be taken? No. All it does, is zero out his/her 70(60), right?

I agree with the 30 min. And I agree with the 11/14, or some variance thereof.

The tab is awarded upon successful completion of Ranger School. Toughest school I ever participated in, SERE school the second. The wings? Well, pretty much any MOS can go to the school. But 12+ years at Bragg, and a stint in Italy, ya, a LEG I wasn't. And the Master Blaster is awarded upon being Jumpmaster Qualified, and having a required number of jumps performing JM duties, Safety duties, and "Mass Attack" jumps(number of birds dropping bird shit from the sky)

My dad was a Teamster, my granddad was a Teamster, and I'm still a Teamster. "Son, there are no thin skins in the Teamsters. If you can't take it, join the Marines, I hear they are little more polite over there." MN's not really mad at me though. He's mad at how our country has (d)evolved from what it was originally thought to be. We just kinda got off to a rough start. I'm actually the type of officer, who wouldn't do, some of things I said "I was allowed" to do. Because if I did, IMO, I would be violating his rights, even though the courts disagree with us(MN and I). But that discussion is over with I hope. Probably not, but one can always hope.

You read that right
Ret. SSG 31B, 63T, 63H, 21V
See, we just butted heads naturally. 12B's and 31B's are like, mortal enemies. And CE's never really got along with the infantry either, at least until we started dodging bullets together. Then it was Lord have mercy for the other team.

No, not really. I was more fond of digging my own coffin, instead of rolling in one. But if your talking about hand held toys, we carried the same things.

Medical out and nasty guard. Hard to make rank there. BNCOC PH II for 31B and someone got word of a 3 on my hearing and sudden trip home.

At least the army is kind enough to pay for my hearing aids and coverage for obummer care.

Carried the same, I always understood we had more in a squad than you had in a platoon.

Our unit was a combat support unit not pow or le ops.
