Issues Swapping 2009 DD15 Into 2010 Cascadia DD13

Has anybody run into an issue with a 2009 DD15 being too long to fit into a 2010 Cascadia Day Cab that had a DD13? Had a customer bring in a 2009 Cascadia Sleeper that hit a horse and a 2010 Day Cab with oil starved motor. Removed both engines and when seated in the rear mounts the DD15 sits too far forward to bolt up front motor mount. After measuring everything it looks like the Day Cab frame is shorter from shock towers to rear mounts. Rear in frame mount is as far back as it can go without drilling frame. Measuring the DD15 engine we found that it was between 1-1/2" - 2" longer than the DD13. About 1/2" of that was in the Bell Housing. Any info on resolving this would be geat. Or if you have tried it and it became a "Custom Installation" that would be good to know.

Next hurdle is whether the electrical harness and MCM will interface with the larger engine. You ought to look into this before you tear into the truck. Frequently, if there's a mismatch, it can be very expensive to correct.

This wasn't something we came up with. A customer brought us two Cascadias. One had hit a horse and was totaled but the motor was good. The other had a bad motor but was otherwise fine. All the electrical seems to plug in just fine and it was confirmed through a Freightliner parts rep. that it should work. Believe me this is not the ideal swap, but the customer wanted us to give it a go.
