Some guys run that way all day, every day. Then brag about how fast they are. But they get $0 in bonus, which is paid for every load.

But if you run the math, chilling out with cruise and easy shifts, the bonus equates to being paid for the extra work without actually doing the extra work.

So basically I get $120/week in bonus on average. He does $120/week in extra loads. Same extra money, no extra effort on my part.

So yeah I only do the hate shifting and hammer down when absolutely necessary for the time clock.
 
Lucky. Our critical is 68. Although they haven't said anything to me about any of them yet.

There must be a laptop dedicated to receiving these messages and they shoved it in a closet somewhere because it beeps too much. 😂

Prime recorded an "overspeed" condition above 77 - lease ops were governed at 65 on cruise. I always limited my speed to 75 on the speedometer, which according to various GPSs was registering a bit high. Heard some jerk hit 103 on one of those big, straight downgrades on 80 in NV, and got canned for his trouble. That was years ago, and I have no idea what they're doing now. I suspect 90 would get you a meeting with the safety director at a minimum.

Yeah our overspeed crit is 77 that’s why I hit the brakes at 75
 
The Government screwed me again! Yup! I am supposed to receive my medical form 90 days before it is due. Canada post never delivered it.
Now with less than three weeks to have it completed I need to get the form.
You would think that you could print it out from their web site. Nope! every other form except for that one.
I can't exactly call them to mail me a new one because we have seen how well that worked out the first time.
I had to get a family member to go to the MTO (DMV) and get the form. I also spent about a half hour on the phone to get to talk to someone to E-mail me the form. This should not be this difficult!
One would think that getting a Dr.s appointment would be the hard part.

I was sent down to the plant today to cover for my replacement that was absent.
Fucking disaster when I got there. Probably 12 loads loaded or staged on the floor, plus it's a factory and the line does not stop, so more loads building.
All you can do is chip away at it and do what you can do. I had it near cleaned up by the time I left.
LTL is so much easier and it pays more. Guys were asking if I was back for good? Not unless what they are paying changes!
 
Last week there was a shooting. I saw it on the news and I didn't think much about it, Just another shooting.
Well, it turns the guy that was shot worked at the plant. I didn't know him and I am not going to make him a martyr , because clearly it was targeted.

I just went to do an eye exam today so I can get new glasses. It has been a while and my glasses are scratched to all hell.
The Dr. takes my glasses and looks at them and says these glasses are very scratched do you drop them alot?
No, actually the lens pops out from time to time and it gets scratched.
How do you see through these glasses?
Not very well.
What do you do for a living?
Oh, I drive a big truck.:rolllaugh:

Then he put drops in my eyes and blinded me for 2 hours.
