I just went to do an eye exam today so I can get new glasses. It has been a while and my glasses are scratched to all hell.
The Dr. takes my glasses and looks at them and says these glasses are very scratched do you drop them alot?
No, actually the lens pops out from time to time and it gets scratched.
How do you see through these glasses?
Not very well.
What do you do for a living?
Oh, I drive a big truck.:rolllaugh:

Then he put drops in my eyes and blinded me for 2 hours.

I’m to the point where I probably need glasses. I pass my eye test for my physical every year but I don’t see well close up. At all.

I am the opposite. I am nearsighted. They said I could get bifocals or I could jut get regular glasses and take them off when I needed to see up close.
I chose the latter.

I don't think I am a candidate for the laser surgery because I have astigmatism.
You can get laser surgery with astigmatism. But they check how much your eye sight has changed over the years if it’s beyond x amount they will tell you no because you’ll be back in glasses in a few years. Mine has barely changed since 5th grade but I can’t afford the 3k to do it right now.

I've been on this earth 48 years and I always thought people were saying "a stigmatism"
I did not realize it was one word.
One of those moments when I feel a little stoopid. :foreheadslap:
I didn't even know that I had Astigmatism after like 15 years of wearing glasses. So when I enquired about contact lenses my Optometrist told me I had astigmatism. I guess the look on my face made him explain further that it was nothing wrong and bla, bla, bla.
I said I know there is no stigmatism about having astigmatism.:D It is just the first time I have heard that I had it.:(

I took out all my beer cans today. It is a toss up on how I feel about returning them or just throwing them in the recycling bin.
I was met by the superintendent that always tries to pretend like he knows me. The last time he was asking how my daughter was. I don't have a daughter unless he knows something I don't.
Today it was, how was my vacation? I never went on vacation.
Hey are those all cans? No they are mixed:mad:
Okay put them here and I will sort them out.

I brought down some more cans and there is another dude rummaging through my trash. I asked if he wanted the cardboard beer cases too, as that is what I had in my hand.
Dammit! Can't I just throw out my trash without everyone and their Mother going through it? This place is so fucking ghetto! they are 10cents a can, is that more than your pride is worth?

So this was good. Buddy calls me for an empty. I bring him an empty and tell him take it easy on this trailer it will move. His response was why don't you put it out of service it is unsafe.
The trailer is not unsafe, he is unsafe. You can't run into a trailer at 20 MPH with the weight of the forklift plus load and come to a screeching stop inside the trailer and not expect it to move.:bonk: I am no rocket surgeon but I am sure there is a mathematical formula that can demonstrate the force of inertia.

i took that same trailer and gave it to another dock and I knew I did not need to tell them to take it easy and I didn't. Sure enough they loaded it and it didn't move. It got unloaded at the warehouse and it didn't move!

you doing yard work again.??

how tough or hard is it to work the yard..??

i did yard work, and loved it, up until the time the contract was lost.
I am not just in a yard the plant is spread out between several buildings and docks and not all on the same street.
I wish it was just a yard and then I could have a proper yard truck and not a regular day cab where I have to crank dolly legs 66 times a day.

i had an ordinary day cab as well, sometimes but only on the rarest of times, if the night guy did not show up, i'd have to take a trailer to springfield, MA

i had 2 buildings i had to take care of, which was the reason for my day cab as well.

i only had to crank up the landing gears maybe about 20-25 times....man was i ever sore for all that cranking...

Yeah, The guy they hired to replace me lasted a week and then went MIA. They are working on hiring a new guy to replace me so I should get a break from the plant for a couple days before they also quit.
If you want a break from the plant, try mulch. Yard work sucks regardless though.
