Guy at T/A gave me free coffee once. I thought he was being nice.
Turns out it was old. Really, really old. As I was leaving I saw him go change it.

I never pay for a refill when I fuel at a truck stop.
Then again, I sort of ask. I say, “refills are still free with fill up, correct?” Never been charged yet.

I was hitching a ride home after recovering an abandoned truck once. The guy I was riding with was a weirdo.
We were scaling out at the Love's in Sioux Falls but we had to go a ways down Cliff Ave to get reefer fuel at Cubbys. He says Cubbys has better coffee.
So when we were at Love's, he brought in his thermos and filled it with hot water which is available next to the coffee machine. The idea was to preheat the inside of the thermos for a few minutes before filling it with coffee.
The cashier tried charging him for the thermos refill and he started to argue with her, but for some reason he forgot to tell her it was just water he'd filled it with. She actually thought he was just boldly refusing to pay for coffee. I think she just gave up because she didn't think it was worth calling the police, or because there was a line behind him.

I have never eaten at a real PFChang. I know two people who work in a kitchen at one.
As for PFJang. I eat their pizza all the time lol. And been getting free drinks all month.
