Gotta love the rail. Was set up for a pretty great day but my first load didn't arrive to the rail. It's a day behind.

Can't get a hold of anyone to change the plan to anything else. And it's already 11am.

My phone is permanently on silent and my voice mail is full on purpose.

They got back to me shortly after I had come inside. I ended up running directly to Richmond to pick up what was supposed to be the second leg or whatever. Doesn't pay as much when you miss a whole ass delivery but it's better than an entire day off I guess. Especially since I'm angling to work M-F again and get my weekends back.

Got down there and the chassis had NO brakes. Literally none. I pumped them down and everything. NADA. They had real solid park but no service. So I had to nope out of that one.

Fortunately there was another load directly across from it so I connected up to it to confirm that it had brakes and that it wasn't a problem with my truck all of a sudden.

Called dispatch about it and they answered and let me drag it back instead.

Doing some research and the fact that it had exactly nothing when I pulled my Jonny bar, it's probably either a blockage in the service line or a defect with the relay valve.

The brakes didn't look out of adjustment when I peeked under. They should have at least done something if it was that.

As far as today goes I got a super late start and just got back home a little bit ago.

No reason other than making the mistake of firing up YouTube before leaving, and losing all track of time. I woke up at 7am and wanted to be gone by 9am but ended up leaving at 1pm.

Trafficularly, it actually worked out pretty much perfect for what I was doing. Only minimal delays over on 495 going toward Upper Marlboro.

I'm gonna need a new windshield before spending much more time at night like that though. Probably new side glass as well.
