I don't care if this is an old post - THAT is the best thing I have seen all week!

That's a cheapo deluxe model from Harbor Freight, like $200.I don't know how I missed this thread (probably because I keep getting distracted by the politics thread) but Duck, your smasher thing...I do want. How you get anything done ever, when you have all those "what does 40k lbs do to _____?" experiments that NEED to be documented...I just don't know!
That thing on top of the Styrofoam is solid steel 2"x 2" x 10".Well I still have the pictures on my phone.

Our railroad tracks are a bit bigger than the dimensions you describe. That weighs close to railway track does it? That's something like 1.5" x 2.5" with a T stuck on below. Got some lengths of that sitting down the track by the container and that ****s heavy. 3" length of rail track makes a good small anvil for blacksmithing redneckery.
Couple pages back I saw your exinguisher bracket, oddly enough I've been pottering round the shed doing fire-proofing too. Got a couple of old LPG (Propane to you yanks) cylinders and ground the tops off at the shoulder, welded a couple of brackets on and just need to bend up some reinforcing rod (rebar) as handles. Make nice fire proof ash buckets that last a hell of a lot longer than the cheap tin crap in the stores.

I'm trucking dammit...
Don't bug me!

The one on the left looks about right.
My shoes are wider than the rails so I'm thinking more like 3". I dunno...
@Blood can settle this debate. He lives closer to RR tracks than I do.
Peckerhead

Don't think it'll pass DOT... might be a outlaw night fer someone!Ok I'm about 450 miles from the duck pond but here's some genuine redneckery....

Yes that's 4 plastic butter knives from Wendy's, zip ties & duct tape holding a snapped trailer leveler valve linkage rod together.
Only gotta get it another 40 miles.![]()
