Duck Pond Redneckery

If you have sensitive ears, you don't want to be around when I'm topping off the transmission oil in my ranger. There's no dipstick tube or anything. You gotta get underneath & squirt it in through a hole in the side.

And then some bastard comes along & takes my previous sentence out of context.

When's the last time you bled the hydraulic clutch on a Ford standard transmission? LOL

Never.

And I've been hoping I'd never have to ever since I examined one for the first time.

I started up & moved the Ranger yesterday to cut down the trees that were growing up through the trailer it's been hitched to for 8 years.... and the clutch felt a little soft.

And now you just f***ing jinxed it dammit!

You bleed it from the bottom up. Remove the vent valve on top of the clutch and pump the fluid in through the drain on the bottom. If it feels "almost" right, it's right. Stop fuckin with it or you'll be fuckin with it all day.

Never done it. Thanks though. I'll try to commit that to memory.

He's going to regret using flatstock instead of tubing or solid rods for the steering.

Objection duly noted.

Don't you have a date with the shop press Poindexter?
:stare1:
