Driver in search of a Truck (california)

Wow, I get busy and some one rings the commie-fornia bell.

@N3ME what does your license say? "Auto only". Or are you clear to drive stick as well? How long you had your CDL?
I know a few owner operators here in the commie state.

3 years old takes many companies out of the equation, if they have a rider policy at all.
Thats why she's looking for a smaller outfit to begin with.

Personally I think it's a terrible idea but it's not impossible.

Its also not the first time I've heard of people keeping children in a truck. My opinion is that it's a terrible idea but my opinion of how others raise their kids is equally unimportant.

My license says commercial.

No restrictions.
No additional endorsements.

I really just want to cut through all the judgemental bullshit and get a job. I can go back to Crete Carrier. They have been begging to have to me back and have offered me & my husband a 8-8-8 schedule instead of straight teams. So, I guess I'll go back there. I would rather have my own truck, but 1/3 more income is better than none.

At this point, I don't think I have the patience to deal with all the double talk and bullshit from a super trucker anyway. I can drive. I learned it old school. I can do it by the fucking stars if I have to. I can do repairs (if tools are provided) and I don't mind chaining up at all. Most of the asshats rolling now can't even drive a stick. I don't care if it splits six ways and has 3 sticks, I can still drive it.

But hey.. I got a kid. And I'm a woman.... SOOO automatically I'm not taken seriously. I'm sorry for creating a life... geez... I'm sorry that I'm using whatever resources that I have available to me to provide for him.

Like I said... Thanks for the laughs, but this isn't really the forum that is going to facilitate my needs at this time.

Certainly nothing wrong with having a child, but in the truck with you is certainly going to require the right situation......and employer.

Good luck!
