Truckers driving through Washington State may face another speed limit increase for cars while the truck speed limit stays in place, increasing the differential to 15 mph. The Washington State Department of Transportation is seeking comments on the proposed legislation, giving drivers an opportunity to voice their opinions.

Senate Bill 5228 and House Bill 1781 seek to increase the speed limit for cars to 75 mph on an approximately 100-mile stretch of Interstate 90 while keeping the speed limit for trucks at 60 mph. Currently, the speed limit for cars is 70 mph.
