Worst truckstop ever?

lol anywhere in Gary IN aint gonna work out well!I have had waitresses tell me and a guy I used to run with alot that she was going off shift and we needed to settle the check,Tip.My buddy would get mad but.I could see her point after a long day puting up with allot and for not much money she just wanted to go home.She may have had to meet her kids coming home from school and deal with all of that.

Probably the miller transit center on I-97 southof BALTIMORE bathroom was filthy expired snacks and beverages at inflated prices never gave the restaurant a chance but from time to time I use them for fuel when desperate only cause their the only game in town in that general area heck the baltimore washington area is way underserved truck/fuel stop wise

Close second has gotta be the the Ontario Ca TA lines 50-70 peple long at checkout and the few meals I EVER had were awful cook needs to be retrained and the parking lot is. Bigger than aome towns

i haven't been to that Ontario T/A in years. in fact when I WAS there, it was still a 76...!!! and back then, the fence along the back row was destroyed in several places, but the food wasn't bad at all...and it was a "relatively" clean place, at least INSIDE was clean..

The Loves in Jackson, Georgia is the worse I have seen... the shower floor was dirty and had dirt caked in the corners, the shower curtan was suppose to be a clear frosted color, but had brown streaks all over it, and was half way ripped off... the toilet stank and had pee stains all over it.. the sink hadn't been cleaned in weeks.... I was so ****ed I took pics and sent them to their corp office and chewed out the manager on duty... I told him that we (truck drivers) deserved better than this, and the state of the showers showed what the store managers thought about truck drivers, and without us, these truck stops wouldn't even be in business... I know he didn't expect that from a 4*10 woman wearing a dress..lol..

Basically any truck stop in southern florida stinks also... but no showers were as bad as that loves!!!

Pilot. Minooka, IL. I-80 exit 122. It's a 24/7 cluster****.

I also avoid any places with Idle-Aire. They take up 4 truck spaces just for their stupid little office trailer that would easily fit in one spot. They turn a lot into a cluster**** because you have to wait for people to back out of them blindly. And by reserving those spots, they're keeping tired drivers from being able to park when they're tired, unless they want to pay for the service. If a guy has an APU, there's no reason for him to use Idle-Aire. And even when all the other spots are full, they won't even let 2 guys back into those "reserved" spots to switch trailers. One time I thought I was going to go deaf because the guy was yelling in my ear the whole time we were switching trailers.

Every Loves Truck Stop on I 10 in Texas, OMG!! I have never seen truck stops as nasty as theirs. I went as far as reporting it twice. They don't have our business anymore.

What about Charlie's Truck Stop in Virginia Beach? It's the only one in town. I had a trailer tire fixed there once. It's Arab-owned and they have signs everywhere full of rules and stuff. I heard there's roaches in the kitchen so I don't eat there. I either walk to the Wendy's or call my sister to come pick me up and we'll go to this Chinese/American buffet about 2 miles away on Princess Anne Blvd.

Not to me there isn't. When they give me "the evil eye" the entire time I'm in their crappy establishment, they all look the same to me. I honestly wouldn't be able to tell the difference unless I asked them. Being able to distinguish between foreign cultures with relatively minor differences has never been one of my strengths. I'm an American. I only speak one language and I have no plans to travel to the middle-east or India any time in the foreseeable future.

The Chinese/American buffet I mentioned that's 2 miles from the truck stop, being located in a business district among many other restaurants, doesn't have the luxury of a "captive audience" like truck stop restaurants do. So they have to maintain higher standards in order to remain in business.

Trust me. If you walked through the kitchen of any restaurant you would never eat there again, and likely would stop eating out altogether.

And roaches are a way of life in that part of the country. They are everywhere.

Sweet Peas in Wheatley,AR.I was just there yesterday and never again.The parking lot was so bad I never did go inside I just left and forund a better one.They had pot holes so big and deep I could'nt tell if they were ponds or what.I was going to back up before entering the parking lot and pull into the lot across the street but a car was behind me.So I floored it just to get thru the parking lot and out of there without getting stuck..I've seen bad parking lots but I think this one is the worst i've seen.I also noticed how many bad truckstops Arkansas does have.

I pulled in there once with a Roadway truck, pups with single axles on them, not tandems that sort of work like walking axles. I was idling in the granny gear and still noticed my rear wagon's tires bouncing off the ground as it was rocking back and forth in all those holes.

Isn't that terrible.The trk stop I stayed at last night was'nt bad but lord there was alot of pot holes.Can't believe our trks have made so many pot holes and some big enough to sink cars.

Anything that's a Pilot... These places are horrible. Minooka IL, Covington IN, Beloit WI, Gary IN.
It didn't take me long to figure out what PILOT stood for....

The Pilot in Atalissa, IA (I-80 exit 265 I think) is officially on my **** list because it's stupid.

They have no gasoline fuel pumps, but they have a whole section of crap for cars on their shelf. 10W-30 in quart sizes, fuel line de-icer for gasoline vehicles, carb/fuel injector cleaner for gas engines, automatic trans fluid, ... all that kind of stuff, but no ****ing air brake de-icer. I almost bought a bottle of gasoline fuel line de-icer (Heet) to put in my ranger's washer fluid tank to thaw it out, because it says it contains methyl alcohol. It's probably the same thing as air brake de-icer but I didn't get it. I went on another few miles to Iowa 80.
