It's actually named for a French liqueur that's been produced for several hundred years. For some reason I always thought Chartreuse was a reddish color.
How long has she been gone? I lost track.Starter replaced, also fixed air leak at the dryer and coolant leak on APU thanks to the constant tension clamps that do anything but maintain constant tension. Got reloaded this morning and headed for Dumas, Arkansas. Unload there Friday morning, unless I can get lucky and get it done tomorrow afternoon, and then home for a while.
Navy Brat will be landing at the airport before lunchtime on Saturday, first time home sense leaving for bootcamp and dealing with the neverending quarantines during bootcamp and school. She will be home til the 6th.

A squid, but yeah!Someone a bit excited to see a marine today?
Did you even make an attempt to diagnose the problem?Get the kid home, everyone gets settled in. Go to take a shower, and the freaking water is cold.
First call this morning, the plumber! Merry Christmas to me, I get a brand new water heater. It's what I always wanted.
Did you even make an attempt to diagnose the problem?
Mine spits gas bubbles ever since I replaced my well pump switch and have been running lower pressureYep, it's been diagnosed as a cheap ass Lowes unit with bad heating elements. The heating elements are being replaced by replacing the entire unit with a better unit.

My theory is it's that sulfate gas caused by the magnesium anode and at higher pressures it stays dissolved into the water.
I mean I know it's sulfate gas from the magnesium but I didn't have the gas bubbles when it was running 55 psi.
You don't have toxic exhaust gases to vent with an electric one.No idea why they installed an electric unit when we have gas here at the house for the heat and for the stove.
Those go out the bathroom ventYou don't have toxic exhaust gases to vent with an electric one.

But then he wouldn't have the new & latest water heater technology with all the bells and whistles.Coulda put higher quality elements in for less money![]()

He probably got one with bluetooth. But then he wouldn't have the new & latest water heater technology with all the bells and whistles.
Mike, remove the anode rods from the old one and see if they're totally eaten up. That'll tell you how long you can expect the new one to last.
It would be cool if you could program it to bump the water temp up to 160 for a couple hours in the middle of the night, once every 2 weeks to kill the "harmless" bacteria that eats the magnesium anode and makes egg smelling stink bubbles. He probably got one with bluetooth.
