There's one in Illinois. Some people want to kick Chicago and several "collar counties" out of the state, and there's a smaller group of people in Chicago who want to kick the rest of the state out of Illinois. Either way the result would be the same. Two states divided by basically the same boundary lines.

There are actually secession movements all over the country at any given time. Even one on Eastern Long Island.

Yes there's one in the Northwoods. Anything north of Hwy 64 wants to secede. So they can be as impoverished and economically destitute as the rest of the Northwoods and the UP.

They're rarely organized and effective though.

The current most prominent is a large movement in NorCal and Southern Oregon that wants to be the 51st state of Jefferson.

Yeah everybody talks about secession but nobody actually does it.

Heck they claim Texas has a Constitutional right to revert back to it's own republic but they never will.

Gosh I wonder how that would even work out because think of all the Federal Property like Military bases and such.

Make ya wonder how that would all be sorted out if they did revert back to own republic.

Im at the Minimart near spiceland indiana snacking on some Taco Bell nachos tray

Stopped at the Fly J about 10 miles back mainly cause I ain't bought Pilot J or Sapp Bros in a week or so so I thought I'd fill up there before they start calling and complaining about it.

What a mistake that was the pump I got into was broke welp the switch you pull to turn on pump the stop was busted.

I folded a work glove and stuck it in there but it gave after 9 gallons.

I'm under half tank I was like screw it but a guy was parked in front of me so I thought I'd get some chicken tenders n mac n cheese the deal with a dink for $6.99 or whatever.

Gosh the checkout line was all the way to Denny's..

Go back out and that guy still sitting infront of me at the pump so I just backed out and left a perfectly good 20/25 minutes Completely wasted

I swear the only time to stop at a Pilot/J's is about 2/3 in the morning when everybody's sleeping.

When they call to ask why I don't fuel at Pee-Lot get the discount Im gonna tell em because there a Pain in the Rearend or start paying me hourly rate for fuel stops.

I don't think they'll be in business much longer at that rate.

Hard to argue against a big fuel discount when you don't care about your driver's time.

We have plenty of military bases in foreign countries. They'd work it out somehow.

Except they'll never need to because Texas is all talk, no action. I'll believe them after they clean up Austin.

@terrylamar was Texas based, full authority, obsessed with fuel economy but did flatbed with a 387 condo and wanted to soup it up for heavy haul but still wanted to get 8 mpg.

He lived in a pole barn somewhere around Austin and had a bunch of dogs in there and had to leave out such large amounts of food for the dogs so they wouldn't starve while he was trucking, that it would attract rats. I don't know if he had a residence area built inside the pole barn or if he slept on a cot.

He lease purchased his Pete 387 from ATS then got his own authority but could only operate intra-state in Texas because blah blah blah something to do with the state comptroller.

He would get out on the big road and set the cruise at 55 mph and act like everyone blowing past him at the speed limit were the reckless ones.

I don't remember why he left the forum. Too many people were making fun of him I guess.

Sitting at Jackson Truck Plaza gonna lay down for awhile then hike up see what they got in the restaurant.

Think I'll just fuel here too when I leave in the morning getting down to a 1/3 of tank.

Pee-Lot in Eaton was 3 deep in fuel line and the one in Chillicothe was a packed mess just pull back on to the highway.

Next I look for a job gonna ask them where they want you to fuel.

If they say Loves or PeeLot find a different company.

It shouldn't take the better part of an hour to fuel up and grab coffee.

If they want a discount get an NATSC card so we can go to those little country places.
