Where Are You Parked Tonight? Check-In Thread

I can say from experience that the vaccine does cause fatigue the day after the shot. Some people have fatigue for days after the shot. So yeah falling asleep at the wheel type of stuff is pretty possible. I am not saying they are asleep, just saying their focus on the task at hand maybe slightly impaired.
Last week a car blowing a red light nearly t-boned me on the motorcycle.

My prediction of trajectories or whatever you'd call it, I was on course to make it past the car's path before it intersected mine. I mean had I done nothing, the car would have passed behind me by like ten feet, but I gunned it anyway to widen that margin.

Driver was looking straight forward, both hands on the wheel. I only saw his face for a fraction of a second but I remember thinking he looked like he was in a trance.

Probably on some kind of drugs. Maybe he smoked too much weed that day.

Military wasted no time on the mask nonsense. Kid called today and said that anyone who had been vaccinated no longer has to wear it anywhere on base.

She already had hers, now everyone is scrambling to get it done.
I ran a bunch of loads into lejuene this week and with the exception of the gate guard I didn’t see the first mask.

Lastnight a truck flipped over on WV Turnpike past Beckley on a curve but it was dark and I couldn't get a good pic otherwise Idve posted it in Stupid Wheelholders thread
I know a guy that used to work for Welfare Express and rolled a load of lumber all over that turnpike. Guess they got some thing that slams on the brakes randomly that I've seen some bitch about. He claims that was the cause yet this going makes a public Facebook post with beaucoup pics and openly admits he was doing at least 65 rolling downhill through 60 mph curve.

I go about 50/55 much the way those are some sharp curves and when it straightens out a mile or two and ya think you're good they'll be another sharp curve or two.

There's that one stretch somewhere past the Tamarack Rest Area where it's just constant curves for miles and they put those 50 mph signs with the truck picture.

Yet alot guys will fly by like it's a flat stretch in the middle of the Prarie .

I don't go over the WV Turnpike much but when I do I understand what I'm dealing with.

Make matters worse there's a boatload of Construction going on there too

I haven't been over it in about 4 years but one of the drivers here was telling me they had tripled the little tolls.

My Company has Pre-Pass I just creep through that lane and hit it when I get the greenlight.

Not really sure how much they charge ya.

Suppose if I was paying cash I'd know how much they are

NY going cashless was one of the best things that happened for us. Boss doesn't want EZ Pass for whatever reason.

I don't remember the exact numbers but going to Maine one is 20 some dollars to where I stop at night and the other 50 some dollars to the MA line from Buffalo so it's pretty nice to boogie on through.

MA is completely electronic; has been for years. NH is $5.50. ME has one 12 dollars and 2 others that are 4 each.

Guess that proves your point.

Years ago when I first started not all places had Pre-Pass yet and I remember afew jobs having to pay cash and save toll recipts for payroll reimbursement.

Then I went out East once to Long Island and it was $50 bucks to cross a bridge with a truck 😯

And that was 15/20 years ago

20 bucks to get out of Jersey is bad enough. Guess they figure it's such a shit hole you'll gladly pay. That whole cesspool corner of the country is extortion.

Sitting at the Floristell TA but still need 2 more hours before my 10 hour turns...

So I'm gonna walk across the overpass and check out the Mr Fuel and see what they got to Kill Some Time.

Shame we don't got Paper Logs anymore otherwise I would have Hit It already

Mr Fuel must be associated with Pilot/J's now because they take My Rewards points.

Cheap smokes too got 8 packs for like $39 bucks with the 2 pack Special

Them, Speedway, and some others are taking the Flying J fuel card and accepting the rewards points but us that don't have 15k trucks get a lower price than the shitty chains and you're able to get in and out in a timely fashion.

I've seen some old Peelots in the Midwest they've re-signed as "ONE-9" stores. Not sure what the deal is with that.

Four months? He is almost ready to be a driver trainer.

Would make an exemplary recruitment tool.

Potential victims would be all "well heck he doesn't need to know how to drive so I wouldn't either. I'm in!"
Don't even gotta hit a bridge.

You could tell this kid had NO EARTHLY CLUE what effect that steering wheel had on that rig one way or another and he was standing on the binders every foot and a half clearly scared shitless when he has tons of room. One more reason these companies piss me off. He shouldn't be on his own. They've failed him and everyone.

It was backed straight on into the curb when I walked over but I didn't realize he had done the sidewall on it in another attempt at first.

He had gotten out to look at it when I came over and asked if he wanted some help. Hejumped in and tried to back up with it already sitting backed into the curb. So I knew right away we were in for it.
