Trucking Trends That Can Go Away Anytime Now...

It seems a bit ignorant to me.
They are passing and I have to look at this blink, blink blink especially in the dark.
It looks like they are expecting you to slow down and accommodate them.

Thats the feeling I get. That I’m supposed to brake and slow down for them.
We know these people often lack the knowledge and etiquette we’ve all been familiar with, and I’ve run into immigrant drivers MANY times who thinks it’s normal to be pushy and obnoxious.

Relax Vlad, there’s plenty of room.

And the funniest part of this thread so far is the idea that @Electric Chicken can pass people.

I don't even like most truck drivers anymore, especially since I've gone to different routes that have me on I-90 back and forth across Washington all the time. Most times, when I'm returning eastbound, I'm empty. My truck isn't governed. Still, I set my cruise control for 63 because I don't want any unnecessary interactions with WSP. I always pass trucks going up the west side of Snoqualmie because they're loaded and I'm not. Thereafter, they make it their life's mission to pass me back, flying down the east side in every effort to get back in front of me. Once they accomplish this, they slow down below my chosen speed and I have to pass them again. This is completely unacceptable to them, so they kick the throttle up to their governed speed, usually 65, to stay in front. Since I'm not interested in being first, only doing my chosen speed, where my cruise control is set, I fall back behind them in the right lane. And they slow back down. I inevitably pass them again going up the hill west of Ellensburg and then they ride gravity down to the Vantage Bridge to get past me again, right to the 50 mph corner at the bottom of the Vantage Grade, where I pass them going up again. This game continues until I finally get tired of it and blast past them just west of Moses Lake and keep the speed on until I've got some distance on them, then go back to the speed I want. They catch me again in Spokane, where they get in the middle lane and slow to 55 despite the limit being 60.

It's not a ****ing race or a competition to see who can lead the pack. I hate being in a pack of trucks. I damn sure don't like the stupid games. It's not the same people, it's different ones. And they all do it. I just want to be left alone to do my job and go home. I have no idea why some of them find that so offensive.
This might be the greatest post I've ever read.

You come up behind me with your brights on and I have a nice low steel load. Your ****ing ass is getting my 2 6LED 60,000 lumens work lamps shining at you from the top of my headache rack. Dick.
Any professional driver that pulls that chickenshit 4-wheeler flash to pass bullcrap deserves that

Finally! I think all or at least a really good majority of us agree on something. How many years did that take?

Putting your right turn signal in long before you’re done passing me.

Again I mostly see this with people not native to the North American continent.

Its a minor thing but annoying and useless.
This is actually a very good idea. I’ve noticed it keeps cars from trying to pass me on the right most of the time.

and yes, I am that guy that will send a car or a truck to the shoulder if they try it.

Yeah it really is a legitimate move. Signal intent early so people know you're gonna get over there as soon as possible.

I don't do the spotlight and high beams thing but I sometimes do need to put myself out there and will signal early if my progress is slower than intended (ie they finally found their gas pedal after I got half way by).

I’m talking about when another semi is passing me.

So- no.
