Looks like the rubber bands I used when running the B&B & Powerine rigs. But both had Budd wheels. The pulleys didn't take up much space.
Seems to me, tread depth had better be pretty close to the same on both axles or you'd have problems.Looks like the rubber bands I used when running the B&B & Powerine rigs. But both had Budd wheels. The pulleys didn't take up much space.
That's warmer than its gonna be in the mid section of the country for some time to come!
Can't recall any problems with those rubber bands. I drove the B&B trucks episodically over at least 2 years. Both rigs were at most a couple of years old which might account for the lack of problems. Although the job was non-union, we were paid close to the terms of the tanker supplement to the National Master Freight Agreement. So we got both miles and hours. The money was in the miles and I'm guessing that those rigs averaged 500 miles/day overall. Most of the gas or diesel was lifted out of the Time Oil terminal in Richmond, CA and occasionally out of the refinery at Avon (Martinez, CA) and most of the deliveries were to gas stations and truck stops from Lodi to Merced area.Seems to me, tread depth had better be pretty close to the same on both axles or you'd have problems.
You just noticed that?
Thanks for th' account modification.

Being a trucker who now has 3 flatbeds and 1 reefer, I have my own drivers park stupid in my on yard, they just don't think, but they only do it once. and on the road a lot of them just do not care. Sad they're taught to drive, but no manners.Later today, I'll be picking up Schneider seeds for the DC. For now, I am in Pasco.
I am simply stunned at the incompetence of drivers. It's not just megas. In fact, with the exception of some Gordons, a few Knights and my lone Swift L/O truck, it's all little-known names on the trucks....but I am floored by their inability to operate a parking lot.
I noticed this last night in Hatton, as well. Unless there are clearly marked lines on the ground, the trucks parking near the "front" will park so far back that an otherwise large enough space for a whole 'nother row of trucks is completely useless. There is enough room here for at least 20 more trucks, but where they should be double stacked, there simply isn't room.
The worst offender tonight is a covered wagon that is parked in the entrance to the big dirt lot by McDonald's and Subway such that the trailer is along the side of the entrance, but the tractor is completely blocking the driveway.
*sigh*
It saddens me that it's one of my venerated Flatbedders. I shall retire to my bed now, depressed that my high reverence has been for nought in this case.
Very cute
Nice, dude!
