The War Path

I've only had this truck for almost five months.

Finally installed the rattinator. I guess I found a use for it today, huh?

It seems to work, but nobody's on, so it's really quiet. Hush, IP. You'll wake up the neighbors and I'm too far to hear you anyway.

Have you got a quallcomm in that truck too?
I am asking because I also had a Pete 579 and the qualcomm was wired to the same speaker as the C.B. so most times I couldn't hear the C.B. not even static.
There is a trick to fix that. You need to go into the qualcomm settings.

You don't need no stinkin' fancy braided air line.

I've got some polyurethane air hose I ain't using.

It gets a little brittle in the cold and tends to snap in half, but winter is almost over anyway. :toothpick:
Snugged right up against the engine? Plastic?

Go talk to @gearjammer - he's into supplying substandard material too.

I do have QC. I have the volume turned all the way down because I don't want to hear the stupid thing. I'll read the messages when I feel like it.

It doesn't seem to interfere with the CB in this truck.

Oh okay good.
On mine I would have to go into the QC settings and turn off the speaker. I would have to do that every time the QC shut down.

You know where you can stick your hose, doncha?

:thefinger:
Yeah. You already said, right next to the engine. Duhh... :toothpick:

OK so you don't want plastic air hoses next to the engine.

OK,.... So how about rubber hose? I have some of that stuff wrapped around a little evergreen tree outside for some reason.

It's good enough for coolant hoses 'n' stuff.

If you're worried about chafing we can stuff it inside some PVC.

:D

Twin Falls for a minute. There's a new Phillips 66 opening on Monday across from the J. There wasn't any parking left at the J last night, so I wound up over here. I was very happy to see people coming out of the store with coffee, so I went in for some myself. Well, when I went to pay for my coffee, I found out they're not charging for it today...or for breakfast. Kind of a trial run, they said.
Somebody must have called county dispatch and told them there's free breakfast at the new 66. Place is full of deputies sitting around stuffing their guts. Like they don't eat at home.
Whatever.
I'm grateful for the coffee, but won't take advantage of them on their food.

I would have been sure someone would have called out the Hue.S. Marshalls.

I hear ya though. They have Pizza day and Subway day and BBQs at my work but I always feel awkward standing in line waiting on free food, I would just rather not.
They worked it out so either we yard jockeys go first or they bring ours down to us:)
