Pimpin' ain't easy
I'll know it's them because they'll be listed as the broker. Same with Scneider, US Express, XPO, Landstar, etc. Pretty much every major carrier is also brokering loads. Kinda makes you wonder why company drivers ever sit when their companies are selling loads to outside folks like me. It's a head scratcher. And, you hit the nail on the head. If factoring companies aren't getting paid, we don't haul the freight. I'm not aware of any issues that my company had with them, but our factoring company may have and that's all it takes. Soon as someone stops paying their bills, our factoring company will let all of its customers know that they will no longer finance loads from that carrier. When that happens, my company will email all of us and let us know not to bother with that carrier. Since I've started here, I've received 3 or 4 emails letting us know that a broker has been added to the "do not haul" list for that reason. It has always been individual brokerage companies though, never a carrier. That's a new one on me. Hasn't affected me yet, and normally it never will. When brokers start getting that reputation they dissapear from the boards fairly quickly. Chances of me running into a banned broker are slim and it hasn't happened yet. That being said, chances of that broker folding shop and opening under a new name are good. But these days, tracking those folks has become fairly easy.Okay, not to sound stupider then I usually do....
How would you know it was Celadon freight, and as long as you get paid lile you are suppose to, why would they care?
