The Island of Misfit Toys

I had a Level 1 on 11/2 and a Level 3 on 11/12.

My company has had 18 inspections from Level 1 to Level 3 in the past 24 months.

In 2016, in a 9 week period, myself and @Junkyarddog had 14 inspections. Level 1 to Level 3.

All in the same state or scattered around?

Maybe they just didn't like your name.
Or your carrier name. 🤣

Scattered.

North Dakota in Beach on a Saturday at 4:30 pm.

Arkansas because I was oversized and driving down the road.

Driver backed up on a road to avoid jumping the curb with the trailer turning into a shipper.

Driver loaded a bridge on a reefer

Driver changed lanes into a car because of someone on a ramp

Driver had non Dot labelled LED head lamps.

Bunch of randoms pulled into the scale.

It's a head scratcher some days and others they are just blatant "fuck me" issues that got them selected.

Hey @Snowblind remember that dude I was talking to about doing concert tours? He was in town yesterday, and he was parked for the night at my truck stop. He's in town for orientation at a new job. So me and Mrs Junkie met him out for some beers and grub, had a fantastic time. Damn man, that's an interesting dude. He's had quite a life. Definitely one of the most fascinating people I've ever met. It's not every day that you talk to a trucker who has rock stars on speed dial and pics to back up all of his stories. Every once in a while I look back at that opportunity with regret. It's still there, but I think I'm just too friggin old to do it now. He met my girl, by the way. Pardon me as I wipe the drool from my face 🤣

@Snowblind got this down to a science now, took a minute. This load board is insane. My searches are very narrow and still producing a ton of freight. Grabbed a load during my delivery this morning, and bookings happen lightning quick. For available loads today on absolutely ZERO notice, there were 175 loads meeting the extremely picky area I run in. Picked that up and booked another one for tomorrow same deal, almost 200 loads available. This sh*t is insane. Good lord man. Pinch me, I think I'm dreaming. When I deliver in Fort Wayne tomorrow morning, I'll have a five mile deadhead to my next load. Christ this is nuts. It's like taking candy from a baby.

Celedon customers are probably hammering the spot market for the short term, until they can get contracts with the other megafleets.

It's been like this since I started here. This isn't a recent development. I just had to.learn how to curve the bullet so to speak. For whoever gets that movie reference. All these brokers I've been dealing with have had these customers long term.

I'd invite you to read this.

Just got an email yesterday tell us not to book Celadon freight, although to be honest I don't recall seeing a single load from them on any of my searches. It's a shame that they're going down, I feel bad for all those drivers. After the mess they were going through last year, it looked like they were turning things around. I was rooting for the new guy that came into power there. Looked like he had a solid plan to save them.

Schneider sent out a message saying to tell any we come across that they're more than welcome here.

Pumpkin is probably already negotiating for those contracts. They'll buy up the trucks, change the decals, boom.

Okay, not to sound stupider then I usually do....

How would you know it was Celadon freight, and as long as you get paid lile you are suppose to, why would they care?
