The bat cave, part 2

Had a good afternoon/evening. After some cb chit chat, about a half dozen drivers (myself included) had a snowball fight. After the snowball fight, we sat down for dinner and more chit chat and laughter. Days like today dont happen that often. They make the job fun. Ill remember this day for years to come.

Hope you didn't toss the yellow snow. 😒

Delivered that load in Wadsworth, OH. Picked up my next load in Rittman OH. Fairly simple run going to Morgantown, WV in the morning.

Im at the Pilot in Lima, OH. Idiot driver in a Volvo with his trailer tandems set all the way to the back was hauling ass through the truck stop and hit another truck. I wanted to throw something heavier than a snowball at his dumbass.

A snowball with shrapnel.

Today was a busier day.

Started at 4 am, pre-trip, grab fuel and def fluid and drove to Morgantown WV to deliver the load. Got there right as the workers were. Left 40 mins later.

Drove to Marietta Ohio for my next pick up. Shipper noticed i was wearing steel toed boots and complimented me. Him and i joked at the flip floppers for a few minutes. I backed into the door and then supervised the loading. I have 3 straps and 2 load locks. I like to put a strap about every 15 feet. Guy that loaded my truck saw me put on the 3 straps and 2 load locks then said "If that load shifts, you can put a dress on me and call me Shirley". Lol

Got back to the yard at 6, with 30 mins left on my 14. 620 miles for the day. Not bad. Now time for some JD and Netflix on my couch.

Nothing wrong with a little overkill

I would have thought being you are now a sophisticated flatbedder making that big flatbed money you would have acquired a taste or the finer things and could afford the finer things in life, Like Bourbon, Some good Jim Beam:thumbsup:
Not that Tennessee swill :p

Some good serious rotgut - Jim Beam:thumbsup:
Not that fine Tennessee swill bourbon
Dang furriners! :mad-97:
Nice post fixing but no whiskey made outside of Kentucky can be called Bourbon, by law:p
And bourbon is a different process than sour mash. Bourbon barrels are charred and only used once, Unlike sour mash that the barrels are used over and over like a heathen would:D
