The bat cave, part 2

After the transmission went out on our last Sportage, we decided to get another one. I wanted to go through a Kia dealer this time instead of getting a car at a buy here pay here.

My credit sucks, but because i had a trade in and a downpayment, the dealer worked with me on signing a car note. I got an 08 Sportage LX without a cosigner. Buying from a dealer did two things: making on-time payments will raise my credit score and the car came with a 2 year 24,000 mile warranty. Also i get preventative maintenance such as oil changes for free. Car will be paid off in 3 1/2 years or i can trade it in after 2 years for a newer one.

Under the bunk is where the party is. I have 5 gallons of oil, 5 gallons of coolant, a quart of diesel 911 and some air line alcohol, straps gallore, 2 load locks, 2 tool bags loaded with stuff, and other items.

Might be some dead bodies in there too.

Man oh man if you ever need all those fluids at once you're gonna need Jesus instead. You pack coolant and oil the way I take washer fluid for a cross Canada trip in winter. You need 2 or 3 jugs for Ontario alone. They put down enough salt to bring the Titanic back then BC lays enough sand to sink it again!

I stock up from our shop instead of buying that at a truck stop and paying 3 times more than what its worth.

I have 2 gallons of washer fluid too.

You just never know. I may wind up in canada for a week and will need that crap.

A while ago i caught my truck burning oil. Because i stock up with enough to sink the Titanic, i had enough oil to last me until i got back to the yard.

No 80W90, silicone, anti seize, pipe sealant, dialectric grease, brake clean, heater hose, hose clamps, booster cables, air line, brass fittings, brake diaphragms, cage bolts, light bulbs or a broom?

Hey when you crossed at the Soo last time did you follow the truck route or go through downtown following the Hwy 17 E signs?
Truck route. It's purt near the only way you can go. The way you come out of customs you can only really go that one way on Queen because of how the fence is then you take the right on Carmen's Way and follow that to the 17.
