Well, I dropped the mowers off in Romeoville, IL and already had a load on me to pick up in Joilet going to Overland Park, KS. I went and got that load and delivered it and before I got there they had another load on me. They have kept me moving really well. I have been pleasantly surprised. I headed over to Harisonville, MO to drop and hook to an Arm & Hammer load going to Fulton, MO. (only 158 miles, but I take the good with the bad) After waiting to unload for a couple of hours (I took a nap) I headed over to Pontoon Beach, IL to pick up a Unilever load heading to Wal-Mart DC in Ottawa, KS. I dropped and hooked there and headed to Sprin Hill, KS to the Clorox plant to drop and hook again. Had to wait until the morning for the load to be ready. (about 11 hours or so)(another good nights sleep) Hooked to the new wagon and headed for Roanoke, TX. When I got to Roanoke, TX, that was the end of my first week as a solo driver for Swift. (2467 miles) They didn't have any empty wagons, so I bobtailed over to the Home Depot DC in Dallas to get an MT. As soon as I could get out of there they had me on a Just-In-Time (JIT) Sears load going to Texarkana for the next morning. They unloaded me Tuesday morning (02-15-11) and I headed off to Gurdon, AR for a live load going to the Michaels DC in New Lenox, IL (next to Joliet). I dropped that load on Wednesday night and went to Georgia Pacific to drop and hook going to Carroll, IA for a Friday delivery. I am here now and they won't take me early, so I have to go back at 0500 in the morning to unload. As soon as I get unloaded I have to go to Des Moines to get a load going to Eastman, GA with a stop in Birmingham, AL on Monday morning. Looks like another good week. Y'all stay safe and I'll keep typing as I get time.
