Stranded help!!

Ok
Got up underneath there and saw the hanging rod but not sure how to reconnect it.
First time getting stranded out of state.
That tree two days ago now this. Time for a vacation.
Or I can just retire, like everyone else in here.
Glad I got 2 weeks comin around Independence Day.

Post a picture of where it's broken, list the tools and materials you have, and hopefully we can figure something out.
Are you on an exit ramp or the side of the highway?
If you're on the shoulder, with the truck running, move the lever on the valve to inflate the suspension about 3 inches or whatever looks normal to you, & figure out a way to keep that lever on the valve from moving, with zip ties, bungees, coat hanger, etc and then drive it to the next exit ramp or preferably a truck stop or rest area.
Don't drive it deflated because of the drive shaft & suspension angles, it'll push the shaft too far into the transmission & cause a grinding noise and that ain't good.

If you've got those hard plastic coily type air lines from tractor to trailer, stay the hell down south in the winter.
Personally I think they should be banned everywhere north of the Mason-Dixon line during the winter months.

I have had them snap in the real cold. I agree they should be banned and also they look like shit.

The sun eats them alive and makes them very brittle down here too! The flexible rubber lines work best. The thing is, unless you paint them, the noobs can't tell the difference. I mean, who can see the difference in 3/8" & 1/2"?
Could that be why they paint them red and blue?

Yet if either one breaks at highway speed, it could cause a fatal accident. Especially the blue line if you're approaching stopped traffic.

Birchy will always come back.
Ganthony might be banned for a while because of that brutal attack on him though. But he'll come back too, eventually.

I didn't think that was right. Birchy is a good dude and means well. He just needs some really good friends.
I have/had just 3 really best friends. #1: my wife. #'s 2&3? Both passed on already in their mid 60's. We all stayed tight since we met in the mid 70's. I miss them.

Happened to me once. On my Mack there's a plasticy rubbery eyelet on each end. The one end broke and everything dumped.
Fixed it on the shoulder of I-83 near Harrisburg with some sweet premium electrical tape I had found when whizzing along the road in Maryland one day. I wish I knew the brand/name of it because it was the best freaking electrical tape I ever experienced. It was dang near a sexual experience.

It really was good stuff. I usually don't care one way or another unless it's really bad, but this was the first time tape impressed me.
The inner label had been long gone otherwise I'd have stocked up on more.

It may have been 3M Pro tape, lost by a lineman while working. The tape the power companies get is miles above the garbage you buy in the home stores. I have a buddy that works for PG&E in Philly and he gave a coupla rolls of it. It's awesome. The glue doesn't melt in the heat and the tape itself stays where you put it.

Possibly. It was also wider than most. Maybe an inch and a half or two.

biglaugh.Yeah good ol' tape,, that's one thing I needed out there but did not really have.
